Also notice that this is just a specialized mechanical engineering degree. It may focus on aerospace applications, but most aerospace engineers actually have mechanical degrees because most schools just teach this through mechanical. The concepts are the same. Some schools like CU Boulder offer aero degrees, most schools just offer mechanical with aerospace electives, they are basically the same and the curriculum flow is the same

I want to become a aeroespace engineer. I'm from Brazil and I learned english, spanish and french by myself. But the domain of knowledge that most fascinates me is exact sciences and engineering. I've been facing depression, but I always knew what I wanted to do. I love understanding complex concepts from physics and Math, so fascined for this universe, I decided to learn Calculus and before getting into the college. I want to build aircrafts, and I want to specialize myself in propulsion Systems. I love rockets and the reason I want to course engineering, it´s because I want to apply the amazing concepts of physics and math in the game. I always read and train my mind, in other to develop or sharp my capacities to solve problems; all i´ve done, intelectuality, was to arrive to the universe of engineering.

As a Junior Aerospace Engineering major, all of this is super accurate. I think a big factor that it doesn’t mention is location. I’m from Huntsville, AL which is nicknamed Rocket City so I have no worries about finding a job here, but I know there are only a handful of locations in the US that are going to have a big demand for AEs. Colorado, DC, and California all have big Aero concentrations.

"This video is an incredible overview of what it takes to be an aerospace engineer! It's amazing to see the blend of theory and hands-on experience required in this field. The focus on problem-solving and innovation really highlights why aerospace engineering is both challenging and rewarding. From learning about aerodynamics and propulsion to understanding complex systems in aircraft and spacecraft, it’s fascinating how aerospace engineers make flight possible. This career isn't just for those who love math and science-it's for anyone passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the skies and beyond!"

I noticed you said that electrical engineers are the ones that design the circuitry in the planes and spaceships. What specific discipline is that in electrical engineering field because that is exactly what I want to do!
@EngineeringInsiders Жыл бұрын
Hello! Great question and great career to get into. As you can imagine there are a ton of circuitry systems in theses greater vessels so you do have options. Embedded systems are the condensed computer like systems, like some navigation systems. Mechatronics and robotics systems are similar but are more for specific physical applications, like moving some arm on a spaceship for example. Power systems engineers deal with the entire electrical power budget - where it is coming from and where and how it is allocated. Radio Frequency/ microwave engineers deal with the communications circuitry. Uplink, downlink, and the breakout to/from everything. And a ton more in between! I recommend having conversations with engineers in the field, more KZbin and internet digging, and even chatting with chatbots like ChatGPT for further info. Or ask away here or in our discord 🙂
