What i realized after starting my very own booktube channel is that if I’m having fun - it’s worth it.

The noise tip - I’m just laughing thinking about the pure chaos of my dog in my videos 😂 But in all seriousness, your advice is so good and I’m going to implement some of these tips!

Lol! I do know that it is not always possible to have a quiet space. I just think it's impressive you can actually film with all that going on

@@RescuesandReads she is why I started filming in my room. I can at least put up a barrier with that closed door. I love her, but she’s chaos.

Thank you so much for this! ❤ I just started, and feel like I’m really struggling. I want to reach people, but it’s been difficult. Thanks for these tips! 🥰

You are so welcome! It is really difficult to grow on this platform, especially if you aren't maintaining multiple other platforms, like TikTok and IG as well or if you don't have a certain aesthetic or do certain things. Just be true to yourself and what you want to film and it will start happening, slowly but surely.

All great tips!! I love Canva, but you totally taught me something new! I was using a much harder way to get myself to pop out from the screen. Lol 😅 I’m so glad I know where that background remove feature is now!! Thank you, Brittany.

Hi, thank you so much for this video, it has helped me so much! I also wanted your opinion, so I am struggling with picking a name for my booktube channel. Do you think using first and last name or just first name and use something for reading like (your name’s book nook or your channels name? Plz help, I’m struggling with what is better.
@RescuesandReads13 күн бұрын
I am so glad it was helpful to you!! I would not suggest using your last name. You can definitely use your first name if you want. I suggest using ChatGPT to generate some ideas for you if you are struggling. That helped me immense when picking names of things for my Patreon so it might help you as well.

This is a great video with great suggestions! I finally pulled the trigger the beginning of this year and started my channel with the encouragement of some great booktube friends. I love that the book community is so supportive and not competitive at all. There is always room for more booktube creators. Everyone brings something different and fun. I love Canva and have taught myself so much. My very first thumbnail was soooo bad 😂😂I've come along way, but still learning. 🎥

I am a pro at Canva at this point. It's the lighting for me when it comes to filming. I am still working on getting it to be consistent and high quality. That's a goal for this year
@Kite562reviews11 ай бұрын
@@RescuesandReads oh lighting took me a while too. For me, it's finding the right balance of everything. Brightness of the sun at the time, brightness of the location. Then in final cut pro I created a color balance pre set that I can drag and drop on my video clip and tweak any of the preset numbers I've already assigned. Mind you this took me a bit to get right 😆

8:04 do you think it would be good to repeat yourself often in the raw footage so you have several takes of the points you want to drive home?
@RescuesandReads2 ай бұрын
You certainly can, but that could potentially get time consuming. I typically only do that if I didn't like the way it came out the first time and I feel I could significantly improve upon it.
