I'm thinking of getting the Honda CB650R as my first big bike. Been riding for months on a 150cc with slow speed maneuver practices, and I plan to take it slow and ride my own ride. The goal is to always be back home safely in one piece. I've already gotten all the safety gear (helmet, gloves, jacket etc) & now waiting for the bike to be in stock. Recently, my friend passed away from a motorcycle accident with poor gear choice - his helmet cracked open and suffered from brain hemorrhage. Be safe out there and never skip out on gear.

See, this amount of thought and care you’re putting into it is exactly the right mindset. Nice choice of bike too. Ride safe bro🙏🏽

I am going to get a 600 and not get crazy. I am a very disciplined person and will take it slow in the sense of stages. I use to box and now I weight train and I did not go in the gym right out the gate benching 225lbs or squatting 315lbs. I had to crawl before I walk and walk before I ran same with boxing. First two month of ever training all I did was learn how to throw a jab. Not other punch but the jab. To this day when every I get back into boxing training I start out the same way. Hours on just throwing the jab. I will take the same approach with the bike.

yup, thats the mentality. im starting on a 2014 zx6r rn, its been great and really fun. i have it in lower power mode, traction control at 2, and its pretty tame, but at the same time, its up to the person to safely control the throttle. the only thing off-putting about starting on a 600cc would be the ergonomics, its the only thing im really needing to adjust to. but when you get to like 50mph the wind kinda picks you up and you feel a lot lighter lol. have fun and stay safe!

these bikes need to be opened up full throttle every now and then, depriving them of that will get them clogged up they arent meant to be ridden like grandmas, if you arent ready for that id suggest getting a 300 its more than enough for a first time rider
@dominicksans72045 ай бұрын
@@danieldryden6644 Ofcourse and that what I got my friend for he is way more experience than I am so he'll do it for me till I get experience. He knows what it is and was to be a first time rider so he and I will go ride together till I get caught up. Which will be at least a year or more, I am guessing.

That’s me, I’m on a scooter at 170; I def will move up slowly I definitely love me an adventure bike of some sort; something that can cruise but turn into a sports bike when I need to hit the twisties

That’s the right way to do it and you might like a triumph trident

I personally think everyone should start on a drz400. Ride street and dirt for a year or two. Then get a street bike.

I started on a 600. I was going to get a 400, but decided on a cheap, old, 600 instead. I'm 32 and started last year. Lol its really nit rocket science, but i wouldnt have a teenager start on a 600.
