A moist and soft lemon cake drenched in a mixture of lemon juice and powdered sugar. This delicious cake is easy to make and tastes good for young and old alike.
Ingredients:
200 grams of softened butter
200 grams of sugar
4 eggs
250 g flour
2 heaped teaspoons of baking soda
Zest of 1-2 lemons
For soaking:
Juice of 2 lemons and 1 orange or 3 lemons
125 g powdered sugar
Casting for glazing:
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
100 g powdered sugar
Or alternatively sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Baking: In a preheated oven at 180°C top and bottom heat for approx. 35-45 minutes, depending on the oven and the size of the baking pan. Test with a chopstick to see if the cake is done.
