This was a fun experiment. The kiddos really love the soap crayons. Do your own experimenting and if you have SFIC go ahead and try that out and see how it works.

I did these with liquid soap colour. They worked great and I didn’t need to use a heap of colour. It washed of the bath and tiles but it does take a bit of scrubbing if it gets in the grout.

Try a combination of citric acid and vinegar with a toothbrush. 😉

Thank you for this!!! I have been wanting to do soap crayons... and I happen to have some soap base laying around. It was made from shreds, glycerin and propylene glycol.

aaahhhh.....so you did my cold process turned into m&p method? That's cool.
@MsAubrey Жыл бұрын
@@TheSoapChef Of course I did. 😉 It works REALLY well! I have this huge box of Stephenson "rebatch" from BA that I bought as a transition between purchased M&P and my own CP. Stephenson is the only brand of M&P or rebatch I could use [palm based, not coconut based]. And considering I could use it better if it were a true M&P instead, I shredded a TON of it and made your recipe. That's my go-to method now! So, yes thanks for that too! 🥰

I have heard some makers say they've had complaints about how it comes off the bath wall. Have you experimented with the clean up? And, really...I didn't know it took so much mica and I really did like yours best.
@TheSoapChef Жыл бұрын
Hey Verna, I have also heard those same complaints as well as the soap being really slimy once it’s wet. Well, soap is very slippery. Once it’s wet any soap, yours, mine department stores it doesn’t matter. I have never experienced any trouble with clean up after use.

I think that if the wall surround or tub itself is porous, it might leave some staining behind, but a little bit of comet on a wet sponge and it'll clean right up. OR... make some paste out of washing soda and use a toothbrush to scrub it in should work nicely too. Citric acid and vinegar works well with getting stains removed too. Can you tell I've dealt with that before? 😁
@TheSoapChef Жыл бұрын
@@MsAubrey I've actually tub tested this and it wipes right off with minimal effort.
@MsAubrey Жыл бұрын
@@TheSoapChef Oh. I'm absolutely positive I wouldn't have an issue with yours. I just know that the tub we got from someone had issues getting soap crayon off of the tub, so I had to get it off. No idea how long the stains had been there. AND I'm positive that it was store-bought soap crayons that use heavy dyes... not micas.😁

@@TheSoapChef all of that I've thought of...how the heck would little hands keep this dry enough to write on the shower walls anyway! :D But, I love the idea and oh...I loved your mold.
