A Introduction to Soapstone

This fella's easy on the eyes :o) AND this is a great video on soapstone, which I hope to install in my Texas county style home! I clean with bleach periodically so I'll check out the next video on cleaning to learn if diluted bleach is ok to use.

I think you can as soap stone is used in chem labs, and is non absorbant. But for cleaning, straight bleach is pretty radical. I would use a 4 distilled water to 1 part bleach. Vinager is another great natural cleaner, and you can get those in much stronger concentrations vs the regular 4 to 6%.

Hello, How long will the deep black color last after waxing/mineral oil is applied?

Is SOAPSTONE same as PUMICE STONE.

Soapstone is often 40% or more talc....from what I read. Pumice is usually pink I think, and is used in polishing metals, like gold.
