How do I make sure the default 3D scenery things like houses don't show up on my aprons and taxi ways?

Hello Soarfly, I am having huge problems getting the sdk to work. As a result I am unable to recreate an airport. I know It's a huge ask but could you possible make a reklaw flying m ranch 7ta7 scenery file for fsx? I have just been trying to add aircraft along the side of the runway and the hanger that sits at the field, i have already created it on ADE but can't compile it. It has been something I have been dying to do but always ran into problems and wasting hours of time trying to trouble shoot the problems. I would greatly appreciate it but if you can't create it I FULLY understand and acknowledge it. Thanks!

Hi Soarfly. I did some minor adjustment as to test an airport on p3dv4. I compiled it but nothing shows. I restarted the flight sim. Still nothing. Any idea?

The new scenery files need to be compiled and placed into the addon scenery, scenery folder in your main p3d directory. If it is the first addon for P3D you will need to activate the folder as an active scenery library in P3D itself

Hi Soarfly, in 1:39 1º) Why do you compile the airport separately from the objects? Isn't it better to compile everything in a single file? 2º) Why do you have "Conditional Compile" enabled? I have it in gray (without access) with the 4 tildes (you do not have a "Compile Pre Load Bgl") Apron + Flatten, thanks! It usually happens to me in the photorealistic scenarios, I solved it by placing the photoreal .bgl in the "World \ Secnnery" folder, but I don't like having files of the same scenario scattered in different folders. Sorry if you do not understand well, my English is not very good and I am using Google Translate, which is not much better than me in translations :P Greetings from SACO!!!

Hello! 1. I prefer to compile separate objects and scenery bgls for safety. So if one doesn't work I can easily figure out what the issue is. 2 I have the pro key and have access to more features.

Great video..learning....any plans to do something with P3dv4 :)....in order to see objects that are added...doesn't there have to be bgl's...jpegs in certain folders in p3dv4?

The process is exactly the same, just to add scenery to P3Dv4 simply use the Lockheed Martin folder instead of the Microsoft Games folder :) Remember FSX is in fact P3D. P3D still uses the same structure for addons as FSX

Where is the SDK in FSX SE what's the path location because I can't find it...

It SHOULD I say should xD it should be in the main FSX folder of your steam install, should be a folder in there simply called "SDK" Easiest way would be to see the sim in Steam, right click on it and go into the properties and click "Browse Local Files"

I'm having hard time understanding how to flatten the land tho' even in this video I didn't really get it... Maybe would worth if you can to make a step by step tutorial on this, how to flatten the land...in ADE help pages it's something about exclusion to remove the stock background and then add our custom made airport background polygon but it's very confusing and I don't get it...

@@gabeghiby6935 In most cases simply drawing a "Flatten" works well enough , it flattens the area with some exceptions like buildings will be AGL or at ground level so the ground will always meet them, if you have terrain features like roads or powerlines running through the scenery then they will be drawn at AGL but they are usually generated "after" the terrain is adjusted in the sim. If a general Flatten does not generate the desired results then the scenery contains something else that is causing the issue

It needs to go into an active scenery folder, nothing specific to it for me it was placed in (Soarfly Concepts Scenery/Newcastle/Scenery) but the most common place is 'addon scenery/scenery'

Once I compile a BGL file from ADE and import it in to FSX, as soon as I press 'Fly now' FSX get to 2% and just closes down.

It sounds like you're compiling non fsx properties in the airport or perhaps your AFCAD is corrupt in a way, like a few taxiways not connected or overlapping, run the fault finder to see if that helps.

@@Soarflyconcepts Fault finder doesn't find anything. I've only made the smallest alteration to the airport just to match a photoreal ground polly. I noticed that the ADE BGL is only 4kb which seems small to me. Also after I select the folder and then compile, it pops up saying airport complied and doesn't open the other tab you seem to get.. very weird.

using fs9 followed your guide for set up and compile (i am not as in depth as you are. i just moved signs and parking spaces around nothing big) but when i got to compile i get this error every time. i have watched your set up and this video several times and i have it setup correctly the thing juts will not compile. what am i doing worng? Compiler Errors Found. These were not identified by the Issue Manager. Please let us know what the compiler error is so that we can improve the Issue Manager. Hi! Compile errors are normally caused by simple issues. You say you moved a few objects and parking, did you ADD anything or perhaps edit a sign? Also parking can overlap a bit but if they overlap too much this can cause issues too.. If you like you can you send me the ADE file to support@soarflyconcepts.com and I can check it for you..

Hi Soarfly, I can see that you have made many videos such as "Taxiway Lines - FSX Scenery Tutorial", "Approach lighting Tutorial", "Scenery Tutorial - Base image ground poly", etc... But they are incoherent and I can't join them together. So that can you make a playlist that will tell us which videos that should see first, which is second, etc... And how to join all things together. The "Taxiway Lines - FSX Scenery Tutorial" very nice and useful but I don't know which I should do after doing that thing. So that I suggested you to make a playlist. :D Anyway, thank you so much for your effort and sorry for my bad English.

The tutorials are made with the assumption that people will be looking for something specific. I can make a new series on how to make scenery for flight sim. It will be a more simple option than just making a playlist out of many pieces of an incomplete jigsaw

Hi, i downloaded an add on aiport. I only want to change runway heading and airport position a little bit, but in the simulator the objects appear twice and in their original position. I already save the "objects" in the library, etc. Still the same problem. Any idea? Thanks!!!!

Did you add the scenery to a new folder in your sim? because it sounds like the scenery is being read twice.

@@Soarflyconcepts thanks for you answer! I only have this scenery in the "Add on" folder. Yes, fsx its reading the objects twice, but the problem is in the same folder. If i delete the objects from this folder, the problem is gone...and so the objects, there is only ground. That's my problem. I'm trying to figure out how to compile this objects without generating this issue. The objects are not generic, they came with this add on airport. Thanks!!!

Try emptying the add on scenery folder and of anything to do with the scenery and just placing in the new files.

Yep, i've tried. I only see the airport ground, Rwy etc. I don't know how to manage the object Files, how to comoile them, change their location in the scenery, etc.

@@patriciovienna5711 okay in ADE on the compile options there should be a check box. Saying 'compile separate airport Nd object files' Make sure thats checked (selected) and only add the airport bgl to the addon scenery folder
