That robot one was so bad. A tablet can easily be programmed to remind you of things or to video call someone. You could tape a cheap tablet to a garbagecan with wheels for virtually the same effect. In fact I think thats almost exactly what they did.

In most cases, yes the paper goes over the top and comes down on the front of the roll, closest to you. But it all depens on the dispenser design 👍
