Soaring Above the Holy Land: An FPV Drone Adventure at the Sea of Galilee

Beautiful Eastern Galilee in Spring of 2022. Rhoda and I needed to test the new equipment we got from the states, and we thought, what better time to do it than in the spring, and what better place to fly it than in the Sea of Galilee.
But, more specifically, in the region of Capernaum, and then head to the ancient country of the Gadarenes, or simply put, the east side of the lake at the slopes of the pigs.
Pigs? Yes, pigs. The gospels mention an event when Jesus met a possessed man, and He cast the demons out of him into a herd of pigs. These pigs ran down the mountain, straight into the lake and drowned. So, we thought, why not fly down these mountains with an FPV drone... but not drown.
And, of course, this poses a giant problem. The distance is about a kilometer, so will the reception even work? And then you've got all of the cellular towers, electricity lines, rain, and a host of other problems that will make it nearly impossible for us to make this flight.
But, of course, we were going to try it anyway. So sit tight, buckle your belts, and join us for this adventure that's mixed with fast flight, mountain dives, tech issues, and the exploration of the beautiful land of the Bible.

Rhoda, I love how through all your video's, you call Sergio babe, especially if he is doing something like this, and you are trying to help him. Two people who truly love each other. I think it's sweet that you worry about Sergio doing thing's that might get him injured, but you don't try to control him, and he doesn't try to control you. I visited Israel in 2020 and I was amazed at all I saw. When you went to the Jordan River...I was baptized right where you were. I sailed the Lake of Galilee, but I did not see it like you did from the sky. I thought, at first, it has to be bigger than this, and you proved that to me. I would love to go back someday and take my time in seeing the beautiful landscape, climb a little, and enjoy more of the local cuisine.

We were around Galilee the time y’all were there. We departed on March 30th. It was beautiful and so windy. We did a 9 day tour, Masada, Jericho, Jerusalem, Tiberius, Mediterranean Sea, Dead Sea, and many standard Christian sites, Golgotha, Garden Tomb. The Bible came to life and y’all helped me in preparation for our pilgrimage. Thank You!

I want to echo your comment. Fully agree. And it's great to see the racing quads used to such good purpose. I've lost count of the quads I have, over a dozen. Been flying for over 7yrs. For those that don't know, flying FPV using the goggles is EXACTLY like you're up there in the vehicle. It's breathtaking. God Bless.
