I mean contextless, we don't know the prompt but a lot of people can focus on one side of a story or the story you hear first. For instance say with a friend of mine, while not op, imagine a potential story where things get strained, we don't know the story of the prompt but it seems like the Chihuhua/ (smaller dog(?)) character is angry at the wolf (motivation ???) over something that might have made the wolf feel hurt, or insult the dog character while there's cutting, drug problems and harsh glares in the background. I guess it's a vent piece and not a reddit armchair moment, the animator is taking care to heart comment every comment except mine lol. Not that i guess it's really important or anything. So my opinions are probably my own and not theirs. But there's probably a balance to taking care of your life as long as you're not hurting anyone else. We don't know the context of the wolf but with my friends, sometimes they've had similar run ins where a previous close friend go to a party drug crowd, and while fun at first (and maybe they even joined a few, in younger 18-20s, like 1-2s vs 20-40s), life moved on and they had to adult up and get a more stable job/income / overnighters to make ends meet. Some stories from my friend include the financial strain of the partier/their drug using friends turning from party friends into "furious moochers" to their pov of the story and the other person's crowd calling the other guy "selfish POS" "I saw the money you had in your bank account" "WHY CARE ABOUT YOUR KID MORE THAN ME, YOUR FRIEND YOU KNEW FIRST!?" and things just alienating or getting ugly. Now im not accusing OP of those things, they're a blank to me but just as a third party, stories can often be word vs word stories. But ask my friend's party drug pov and their pov might go. "Your (stable friend) is SUCH A SELFISH POS!, Whenever i need money, they don't give it to me, i FK!@# hate that PERSON!" "WHAT THE !@#!# SHOULD I CARE ABOUT THEM!?!" But ask my stable friend their pov. They might share stories of 10$S turning into borrowed 20$s into borrowed 50$s, then asked for 100-1000$s and saying no, then demonized and harassed online. Again, not op's story likely, but just the friends pov. And not being the party drugs inherantly that alienated the relationship, but constantly being demonized in the relationship, feeling scapegoated, tired, and exhausted to their pov. Then the other party friend's friend pov might be akin to to something like this. "IT'S MY LIFE, I KNOW YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, F YOU!" and like proxy friends of the stable friends going. "Why are you letting them treat you like that?" "good people build up your life" "you're letting yourself get mooched off of", "They're just using you for money and abusing you. That's not a relationship, that's a usership." "You have to cut them off, they're just not good for you." Now that's probably not the op's story. Sounds like they're a animator at a film university or something but i remember in college there were jokes about "weed/party majors" like the arts/animations, "Frisbee golf majors" like business, and "stuck 7 am to 4 am the next day doing a overnighter" majors like engineering or cram weeks in STEM. The beef wasn't to say some majors weren't 'worth' less than others, just that the reputation of the 'work' was often that both game dev and Spiderverse can be known for cram style sessions. But that some choices in life made as a kid might be messy later. Than again, it might be overreading a cartoon or just a ventpiece. I'm one of the commentors they don't heart haha so i'm doubtful the poster would agree with me necessarily. We don't know the Wolf's Pov, but it does seem like the character in the animation seems to be angrily glaring and lashing out over their life choices being examined while complaining kinda "F YOU!" "why IS IT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU!!!" to the other char. And my experiences are probably different to ops, my friend group is made up of people who got exhausted by that crowd, not stuck 20+ times vs 2-3x times to stay a part of it.

He has alot of issues and has treated my family like shit and keeps getting let back into our lives, this is a vent piece about my anger regarding that. i picture it more kinda like a number line with negative and positive values mental health care gets you from the negative values into the positive values, which is self-preservation, thus not something bad approval and attention in this context helps guide one into the positive values (or at least to 0, which is no longer technically negative)
