The Grammys performance, YES! I went over his entire video list to find that just to realize he didn’t react to that :( Context: that was her first performance of that song and the first time performing after the overdose (and straight to the Grammys!). It would be great to get the vocal couch in this video too

I admit I kind of bought into the whole thing about Dani being a bad influence but I NEVER sent her any disgusting messages. I think it shows who Demi truly is that they took time in THEIR documentary to "clear" their friend's name, even though it was a bit rushed. At the end of the day, Demi is responsible for their own choices. However, that does not mean that they don't deserve sympathy or that their addiction is any less of a disease. Demi relapsed with bulimia months prior the OD after the extreme measures that their then-manager, Phil McIntyre, took to control what they ate (including having the melon birthday cakes, checking what they ordered at Starbucks, dictating what their friends ate around them etc.). When Demi confronted their management they said they were being "selfish", which made them feel completely abandoned and it triggered their underlying abandonment issues with their father. That caused them to drink. Speaking of bad managers... in case you don't know/have forgotten, Scooter Braun is the jerk who bought Taylor Swift's masters, which is the reason she is re-recording 6 of her albums. Thankfully, Demi is not with him anymore! What's interesting is that several of his clients seem to have dropped him around the same time, and he had/has some BIG ones. Namely Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Justin appears to still be with him and he's been with him the longest (I say this as a Belieber, I think he may be a bit blinded by him because he's kind of been a father figure to him). Demi, Ariana AND Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa from Frozen/Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway/Rachel's birthmother on Glee) all dropped him around the same time. So we're all waiting for some tea to be spilled (or maybe they just realised what a jerk he is)! Demi signed with Brandon Creed's Good World Management in September, whom coincidentally Ariana Grande has also signed with. Creed was previously Bruno Mars’ longtime manager and was a co-producer on the Barbie movie soundtrack. Demi recorded Anyone, which they sang at the Grammy's in 2020, four days before their OD. They said it was a cry for help and didn't understand how no one thought to help them at the time. They later revealed they had to start again because their mom and two sisters were in the front row. Demi received a standing ovation from the audience and praise online. I clapped too when Elton said that! The fact that he respects Demi so much yet is not afraid to be straight with them proves that everybody needs an Elton in their life. Demi and Elton performed Don't Go Breaking My Heart together and Demi & Q-Tip covered and recorded a remix for Elton's album "Revamp: The Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin". Demi and Christina collaborated on a song called Fall in Line in 2018 (which I recommend). The music video is a commentary on standards and expectations that are put on women specifically in the pop music industry. In 2020, Demi and Will Ferrell starred together in the movie Eurovision Song Contest: Story of Fire Saga. The boyfriend/fiancé in question here is Max Ehrich. Demi has never confirmed it but it's believed he was with them for the fame and attention. After they broke up they wrote and released a song called 15 Minutes, hinting at how he just wanted his 15 minutes of fame and referencing photos of him that were taken by "paparazzi" crying at the same beach he proposed (which was so obviously staged). Anyway, in December, after over a year of dating Canadian musician Jordan "Jutes" Lutes, Demi got engaged again! But this time I think he's genuine and I think & hope it works out. Also, Demi had an on/off-again relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama (from That '70s Show and NCIS) from 2010-2016. When they first began dating he was 29 and Demi was 17 - kinda reminiscent of Taylor Swift and John Mayer. Seriously, what is wrong with men? Like John Mayer, he has a history of dating much younger girls (namely Lindsay Lohan and Mandy Moore - he bragged on live radio that he took the latter's virginity). Also, his current fiancé is 12 years younger than him. Demi wrote the song when they were 29 in which they talk about how they could never be with a 17 year old at that age. They received a lot of praise for the song and people sent them messages, sharing their experiences. That, along with their SA trauma, has definitely had a huge impact on their mental health and addiction. Also, the bipolar was indeed a misdiagnosis, and while Demi definitely needed to grow the fuck up, they also said it was corrected to ADHD. I recommend Demi's other documentaries; Stay Strong on MTV in 2012 (which goes more into their ED, self-harm and bipolar diagnosis) and Simply Complicated on KZbin in 2017 (which goes more into their addiction and backstory). In Simply Complicated they admitted that they were under the influence of cocaine while being interviewed about their sobriety in Stay Strong. In this doc they talk about being "California sober" but later that year, in December 2021, they became "sober sober" as it was not working for them. I really think you should check out 'Fall in Line' by Christina Aguilera ft. Demi Lovato. It's so good and speaks on the fame and child performer side of their stories. '29' is another good song that speaks on a very formative relationship they had starting as a teenager with a large age gap. And i know I've seen others mention 'Anyone' and 'Dancing with the Devil,' which are fantastic!

I'm a fan of Demi & when it came out she ODed so many of her fans just blamed Dani & I hated it so much bc we didn't know what happened then when this doco came out like a year or so later so many apologised which glad happened but kinda wish Demi said something earlier bc Dani went through so much hate when fans had no clue what happened sure Demi was going through shit too
