If you ever have time (and enjoy reading,) the books this series was created after are AMAZING. There is a lot that is left out from the show due to obvious time crunches and budget restriction. Characters are left out, battles, and scenery. I just finished reading the first installment for the fifth time and annotated it throughout. Such amazing imagery and character development in the novels. Can’t recommend them enough.

1:05 Average full suits of plate armor were around 55lbs, i believe the heaviest was jousting armor that was 100lbs? but that makes sense...its not meant for ground combat so you could bulk it up. Armor wasn't meant to be super heavy...if it was too heavy it'd be more of a hinderance to a knight, they'd overheat and tire before getting into a real fight. Also having a full set was very uncommon for the average soldier, way too expensive. Only rich knights would have full plate, average soldier would have whatever we could afford to cover the vitals.

Ned Stark is not very bright. Killing the Targaryens is the smartest, most strategic thing they could do. Stark was the only one in the room that wasn't making sense.

i got my mom into watching it, but i’m rewatching it with her so i can see her reaction and if she needs any answers being questioned with the episode i help her, and cause i just love this show so much. the brutal of the animals piss me off. she’s on season 4 episode 5 now. i can’t wait to see more reactions of you watching these, it gets even better, really fucked up, emotional, but good parts too. jon and theon are my favorites. the hound too! the last kingdom is on netflix that’s another good show too, a good viking show that you would love too.
