SoCal Santa volunteer who donated gifts to children, loses home in Palisades fire

Loved ones are rallying around a Southern California man who spent decades volunteering with Operation Santa after he lost his home in the Palisades fire. Philip Alderton spent many Christmas holidays dressed as Santa Claus to bring cheer to underprivileged children in the Pasadena and Altadena areas. He lost his mobile home in the Palisades fire.
