Good video, well presented, just a tad speaking too fast to understand, I did however get the gist of the FLOW and how the Triangles and Squares are used. The Dice throwing and interpretation are just a bit too quick for me, however, got the game based on your video! You capture the excitement generated from the game really well! Thank you!

Just a heads up - On the (6) Take on and (8) Build up - Only the team with possession of the ball gets an attack if they win the quality check. If the team without the ball wins the quality check, then it's a tackle/turnover but no attack. Other than that little game note, another great video, Soccer Blast is my number one game from Plaay!

Appreciate your reviews. You mentioned Dice United- it says right in the manual it doesn't try and replicate exact game stats but results over a season. Dice United 2 for PC does very well for what its geared to do.

Soccer Blast is another great game by PLAAY! Concerning APBA Soccer, did you NOT use the optional fast action card deck? I've read the deck eliminates tons of chart look-ups and reduces game times.

Hi Loni, thanks for the comment. It's been a while since I played APBA soccer as I do not own it. I don't recall playing with fast action cards. If I do decide to pick that game up I will try it!

Hi Marco really enjoyed the game. I’ve had Soccer Blast about 3 years and I agree it’s a great game. I like the APBA Soccer too and play a combination of fast action cards and dice. I also throw two sets of dice each time, as this also speeds up the game. I’m going to steal your great time cards idea 🤪. I also like to play Counter Attack a British soccer game which uses generic players, but plays like a real game as the players are moved around the pitch. They also have a virtual play room, so you can play online.

Yep! Decider die works great. I use it for neutral site games.

Nice job on the broadcast. Don't own this one but as a fan of soccer it's on my radar. One question, does the game handle sub's(ex - someone gets tired and needs to come off)?

Thanks for watching, Paul! If I'm not mistaken it doesn't necessarily have fatigue built in, but it does have injuries and you can easily sub players in and out.

APBA FAC for soccer makes the game quicker. Even without them the game should only take 90 minutes or so. Jack Dolan has some really helpful video's on how to speed the game along.

You can buy their how-to guide to make them on your own if you're the creative type. I've done it before (albeit not for soccer) and they come out really nice.

Great video! I was considering buying this game;heard a lot of good things. Not a huge soccer fan yet,but was considering this game because my nephews are soccer fans,and you did such a great job explaining the set up,and with your enthusiasm, I think you you enhanced my interest in the game even more! My only question is about how to have substitutions and I understand that there are performance chips? If you have a minute,can you explain these two? Otherwise, I think you talked me into the buy! I do have Red White and Blue racing by Plaay, and that's a great game! This board company, I believe,may become my second favorite, behind APBA. Great job and Thanks!👍

Hi Rick! Thank you very much for giving it a watch! I'm happy to have helped you make your decision. It's a fantastic game and truly the best tabletop soccer sim I've found so far. So the substitution system is really up to you. You can make subs at any point in the game just like a real soccer match. Most leagues limit the subs to 3 per team. Personally, I don't usually sub or remove players unless the game dictates I do (I.e., an injury or red card). Plus, I'm a big Arsenal fan and am currently playing with the Champions League set and am frankly not familiar enough with the rosters to make subs. But you can sub any way you see fit. As for performance chips, yes, there are chips as well as a "golden die", and "safe cards" you can add into the game. Truthfully, I haven't experimented with those options all that much but from what I understand you can designate a player as "safe" - meaning if they happen to draw a red card during the game they will instead be given a yellow card (I.e., "safe") from getting pulled. Like RWBR, players can earn performance chips and spend them to increase their shooting range (or save range for goalies). There are tons of options I haven't even dove into yet but I'm looking forward to spending more time with the game and adding them in over time! Feel free to reach out at any time with any questions! Is this a print and play game? They players could surely do with some team colors. And I would have put the home team on the top of the board……. but that’s just my OCD kicking in……..since Real Madrid always play in white kit at home. 😊

No this is how most of the seasons looked when you purchased a hard copy. Plaay has really stepped up their production quality and the newer sets are vibrant in color. Really good stuff!
