In a month of unprecedented turmoil, Indian students faced a crisis that could have toppled governments elsewhere.
On May 5, the NEET exam was held for 24 lakh students across 4,750 centres in India. A month later, NEET results revealed chaos: 1,500 students were granted grace marks under dubious circumstances, and 67 students topped the exam compared to the usual 1-2. Shockingly, six of these toppers came from the same centre, raising suspicions.
Despite denials from the Education Minister about any paper leak, on June 18, petitions to cancel NEET surfaced. Shortly after, a 22-year-old NEET aspirant was arrested for possessing leaked questions. The scandal didn’t stop with NEET; within days, the UGC-NET and CSIR-UGC-NET exams were canceled due to integrity concerns, and NEET-PG was postponed.
The impact was felt nationwide, with students travelling hundreds of kilometres only to have their exams cancelled. The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for these exams, faced severe criticism for its mismanagement and lack of accountability. But sadly, this isn't an isolated incident. In the past seven years, over 70 cases of exam leaks have been reported, affecting millions of students and jeopardizing their futures. But the question is why isn't our country unable to conduct exams? What are the impacts of such failures on the students and the economy? And lastly, what can we do to solve this? Bhai so true, I got a rank under 2k (clat) but getting a teir 3 college while people with reservations are getting top at a rank of 15k. Gen with 3k rank don't get the seat, but with reservation you can get in at 50k. The merit is non existent, they should have atleast a minimum criteria even if they do take it at reservations. One of the colleges has only 30 seats out of 120 based on merit. Absolutely horrendous.

Even JEE wasn't conducted properly, there was discrepancies in percentile in the first session (January 2024), most of the toppers were scheduled to have their exam on 27th and 29th January. Because of most of the toppers being scheduled on those dates, other candidates who were supposed to get around 95 - 98 percentile, ended up being in 92 - 95 percentile range. Although the difficulty of the papers didn't vary over the dates of January, the academic strength of students surely did, with all the toppers being in the first 2-3 days, which benefited the students whose sessions were on the later days. Because of that, we are now unable to get admission to any kind of NIT or GFTI. Despite doing this mistake in normalization, NTA made a claim stating that normalization was done on the basis of gender ratio, equal distribution of student per day, etc.

Please support ⚠️,NTA scammed me in the 2022 JEE Exam , in 2022 there were two Jee exams in JUNE and 2nd was in July ,I get Percentile in math was 98 (I had 7 problems and all are correct) .then what I started preparing more for math On MATHENGO app for a month and give a AIT on MATHENGO I got 30th rank means I was so sure that I will get more than 99%tile . At that time it was also a scam but with less people, then what ignored. NTA sacm 2024 ,Those from 2024 will get justice but how will those before that get justice?❓❓❓❓ So in the exam of July I had done 15 maths problems with 2:15 hrs and only 45 min to physics & Chemistry. Then boom result comes I got 45 %tile in maths , I was broken and lost hope for IIT . Then after 9 to 10 days after I got to know that from my friend that his friend got 💯%tile in the final result. He says that his old percentile was 10 %tile. that was from 10 to 100 %tile . What a shit

I gave my cuet exams along with neet and trust me in cuet too nta proved to be incompetent .Most of the students were complaining their subjects were missing from admit card and the news of center change one day before almost gave many students depression .They had already travelled far from the home to other city and now nta is giving notice that exam center can change .ridiculous 😑 I think it would be better if along with neet students cuet students too join the protest but atleast we have to wait for results of cuet and very probably nta would be going to fix results if there is issue like neet.

Mohak bhai you missed on few points I would like to add... 1.There is an exam called NCET which was scheduled on 12 june. It's also conducted by NTA. 40,233 students registered for this CBT exam and 29000 of them appeared on exam day. However after sitting for whole 3 hours of exam, it was announced that the exam was postponed due to technical glitch... NTA published a letter about it in evening and there was no "apology" word in it. 2.Coming to CUET exam, it's a hybrid exam conducted by NTA, over 13 lakhs students registered for this exam and the exam was successfully conducted till May end... Today is 2 July and there is no update on anything, not even the official answer key has been released. 3.Everyone talked about NEET, however NTA messed up JEE Mains as well, in January, the shifts of 27 and 29 were highly crowded with easy paper which led to extremely high cutoffs but NTA clearly refused to admit it and published a fake data to proof that student distribution was even. 4.Coming to the last point..... The formula which NTA used to give grace marks was not supposed to be used. In Supreme court verdict for CLAT exam(not sure, please confirm), the formula was proposed to calculate grace marks for students, however it was clearly mentioned that this formula is not supposed to be used in engineering or medical examinations, yet NTA used it. That's all from my side!

CUET-UG aspirants are literally full of anger because NTA didn't released their results that was scheduled for 30th june. Leave the result they didn't even released the answer keys till this date (2 jul 24) and now the news is coming that 2nd week of july will be the day when results will be out. No college will wait till than they will start there academics what about cuet students what will they do. Even I also gave cuet ug exam. Nta people and management really need to go back to school and get their basics done.

NTA is so flawed that all their functioning is based on outsourcing and contract based agencies. During our DU masters entrance, our centres were switched 25 mins before the exam. Also, recently UGC NET exam has been cancelled as well just after 24 hrs. IIMC entrance had grace marks as well.

This is really very big issue and depressing for us. I belongs to a very low middle class family from Jharkhand, (mere ye batane ka matlab hai ki mere koi bade connection nahi hai.) aur idhar to 10-10 lakh me pepar bikhe hai. Ek lakh advance to aur baki addmission ke baad. yahan tak to mere ek bhaiya ke pass exam ke ek din pahale hi pepar aa gaya tha. I mean o exam de nahi rahe the, but pepar intana jyada fail gaya tha ki untak bhi pahuch gaya. Aur pta hai sabse jyada hurt tab hota hai jab ye neta aur officers muh mod lete hai. Aaj hi nahi hamesh. After experiencing first year in state government engineering college i am thinking to leave this country too 😐😐 1) 75% attendance 2) 6 subjects to learn in 5 months ( that too 2 months wasted in mid sem ,submissions, assignments, project work uhh and what not ) 3) Arrogant Professors 4) Rushed Semesters (4 months sem 1 Final exams delayed due to Ram Mandir Like what 🤡🤡) 5) Professors unskilled to teach practical things 6) College Syllabus is shiiit I am Stuck What can i do I still have 3 years to go Currently Studying ECE. Final Sem Exams of Sem 2 are going on . I want to develop skills but need to travel 2.5 hrs for college as it is 25 km away.

This is not only a problem with neet NTA also conducted JEE mains and discrepancies were observed in both sessions of the JEE mains exam. During session 1 unusual cut off patterns were observed like somewhere around 230s for the starting days and around 150s for the end days for 99%ile and even in session 2 higher cut off was observed for tougher shifts which naturally should not be the case. If people properly questioned NTA at the time this disaster would not have struck.

They are also doing this with CUET aspirants now. To begin with there were PROBLEMS IN CENTRE ALLOCATION, then there was MISMANAGEMENT while conducting the exams, POSTPONING the exam and the list goes on. The answer key was scheduled to be out on 15th of june followed by the result on 30th june but it is already 2nd of july and there are NO UPDATES REGARDING when THE ANSWER KEY is coming! They've put the future of LAKHS of students at stake!

Why no one talks about jee . On 5th April I went to give my Jee Mains , the exam was over at 12 PM . And At 4 Pm in evening I got photos of the computer screen ( same interface as I faced in the exam , All the question that were asked on in the exam , all of them ) I recieved on WhatsApp on my friends group. I was devastated and it broke my confidence and heart.
