Anne wakes up to a silent, empty house. She can’t remember what happened to her. The only familiar face is Akidearest, a famous KZbinr whose videos helped Anne through her darkest days. Now, Akidearest needs Anne’s help.
To escape, Anne is forced to explore the rooms in the house and come to terms with the most painful choices of her past. However, she’s not alone. A horrible creature wanders around and follows her every step... Will Anne be able to get out?

Now it's July, 5 months later and today I've played the modified demo. It's much better to not be possible to open drawers since they're empty anyways. Descriptions for the items are not needed but in two instances they would make a difference: Nothing indicates there may be something inside the stuffed cat, even more now that the bad sewing in the behind is gone. And after getting the picture piece I was not sure that was it and when I tried to fit it in place nothing happened so I had to click and alternate click in several points to get it done. Meanwhile I believed it was something else and lost a huge time reviewing every small detail in the house again and again. When finally done, the picture didn't give off the sound of a door opening. I miss having an inventory. Maybe I have one but couldn't find it. What I found is that letter M opens menu just as ESC does. It was nice to substitute the sculpted vases over the small shelves in the stairs landings, they were reflecting too strong, the effect is better now. Also better is having items inside the unit of the lever. But I disliked the cramped hoarding in front of the basement door, the clear space was better. And perhaps make the mirrors more blurry? Enough that we cannot realize we actually don't cast a reflection? Unless it's intentional, of course. I, obviously, concluded I don't cast a reflection because I'm already dead. And the mounted horned thing that's not an animal in the living room wall? Genius. Very intriguing.

if there's no FOV option yet I suggest adding one. couldn't watch the video because the fov was so small. looked too zoomed in. I guess it's an artistic choice but it's also just debilitating to play

The idea of subtitles not matching dubbed dialogue really makes me wonder if there's a game out there where you hear something and then at some point it tells you to turn on subtitles and suddenly the dialogue is threatening or otherwisely framed to give a horror aspect

ARGs here on KZbin do that - sometimes the subtitles are menacing, internal thoughts of the character, or clues (like a URL to follow, QR Codes, etc.) but I've never seen it done in a video game.

When I saw the picture of Grace at 39:16 (who is a KZbinr living in Japan), I had to check the comments. Seems there are many little nuggets about various YTers in this game. The game could get REALLY good with the backstory, comic strips, and hopefully a satisfying middle and ending fleshed out. As per the demo it needs a better cliff hanger than "they'll see I get my revenge". How and why? Nothing in the demo suggest she got super powers or a grand plan. Make the player feel wanting more than a vague promise of throwing a pie in the face on someone who teased you when you were 10. Visually it's ok, but one track corridors on rails through locked/unlocked doors I'm kind of fed up with.

An interesting premise. The game is so meta too. Observations about social media and influencers, featuring actual influencers. Its almost a self parody,..IF they're aware enough. Its a mixed bag, as far as game play. Very slow off the starting block,.. and I believe the FOV is to try and create a feeling of claustrophobia, but its just disorienting, and actually made me feel a little ill in the end. Pacing got better in the latter half of the game for me, and the surrealism worked well,. We understand its a journey through Annes mind palace,..the house is long forgotten memories. So, probably a Trauma, PTSD thing, good old psyche horror. I'm hoping for an interesting end,.. so on that hope, I vote for you to play the full version when its out, please, Chris. :)

Tbh I don't really know what to make of this but it is so bonkers that I'm kinda curious to see where the "story" goes. I want to know what's up with that lady stuck in the tv and what's the deal with Anne and Grace ; it seems at first like Anne is the victim in all this, even if she's been shitty with Grace in the past, but Anne sounded a little bit menacing in the last few seconds of the demo. I'm intrigued.

But maybe that's just me because I am, after all, an 🪱.😂 Yeah, I'd like to see how this is all pulled together in the full game.

It’s not a bad game. I suppose there’s just several things about it that annoy me. You can’t run when it feels like you should be able to, the subtitles are off and the story is all over the place. However, I do realize it’s just a demo and who knows what the full game has in store. So, I say we give it a chance and see where the story goes! 😊

If i were rich I would commission a horror game with good enough lighting that you can see, but not well. Then I'd have it so when you press F it says "No Flashlight Equipped", and for the first 3rd of the game you don't have one. Eventually you'd find one, but it wouldn't have batteries. You'd come across dead batteries from time to time that didn't work, or open discarded packaging. At some point you'd find a single battery, and the game would hint that you can scrounge batteries from appliances. You'd never find an appliance with a battery that fit. It would be totally unnecessary to gameplay to have the flashlight. There'd never be a situation where it would be needed, but if you had it, it'd maybe help you see slightly better. When the end credits are rolling and you've stopped whatever ghost entity, I want you to wonder about it instead of the mystery. "what was with that flashlight? Where was the battery? Was it bugged? I searched all the electronics and never found a second battery."

It's got a lot of promise, but - and yes, I know it's a demo - but things like the syncing of the audio from the radio and subtitles are quite off-putting. What I really liked was when the story fleshed out a bit, when you find out there are other social media stars missing, or whatever that thing was. If they can increase the mystery and weirdness of the game, make there be more threats and focus more on the venomous protagonist's psyche, this could be really great.

There is something so *NOT* endearing about how lolsorandom this game compared to other female-led first person surreal indie horror games CJU has played on this channel. Is it because the subtitles are grammatically incorrect and downright incomplete half the time, like that horrible radio bit? Is it because there's a "followers" counter that is never implemented in this demo whatsoever? Is it because the game introduces a lot of characters and then pretends like we're supposed to know all them when we really don't, like there's some great in-joke that we the player are missing? We may never know.

Maybe she couldnt run because its like Mirroring a nightmare and like how you can't run when you really really want to? I dunno. It could just be a lazy attempt at tension. The jumpscare loud sound is def lazy and I am not a fan. Its annoying not scary

Wish there was a bit more context. Protagonist seems to be missing and going through the grieving stage for Grace (suicide?) and this house is some sort of representation of that. Implication that social media pressure is heavily involved. Could be completely wrong haha. Visually pretty good and nice use of sound. I'm intrigued but hopefully the full game will deliver more than just another loop house. They're getting a bit old now.

Played this game and it was kind of creepy lol but I liked it. Just may not play it at night again 😂😂😂. The woman in the basement is when my anxiety kicked in and I couldn’t get rid of her.
