Washington Post Article published in early 2016: Harvard University survey, which polled young adults between ages 18-29, found that 51% of respondents do Not support Capitalism. Just 42% said they support it. 33% said they support Socialism as an Alternative. We've got a lot of Work to do!

Paris Commune Free Territory of Ukraine Second Spanish Republic Revolutionary Catalonia. There's a list of the communist societies that ever existed. None of these crushed freedom or killed, it's the opposite. None of them had re-education or death penalty, none of them supported war.

I don't know much about Socialism (I was born just before the end of the cold war). But the more I hear about it from conservatives, the more interesting it seems. Is there somewhere online I can read Marx and Lenin's works?

@hamsterbass123 it's called "reds" by warren beaty. the main character is john reed, author of the socialist magazine "the masses" and "10 days that shook the world" a book chronicling the 1917 Russian revolution. he died of typhus in moscow i think, and is the only american buried in the kremlin.

id say dont organize for the party, the american left is not organized enough to present itself in that way. id say work on spreading class consciousness to the workers near you until a truly revolutionary party arises. good luck comrade

Im baffled somebody could watch this clip and immediately go "this seems like a well-organized disciplined bunch, where do I sign up?" Regardless, just please leave the democratic party's voting rolls and deregister from the primary election process as FAST AS POSSIBLE PLEASE! And don't forget to take your fellow Bernie militia men with you, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here. Thank you.

@@themasses3953 Why not instead aid yourself and your working class (are you sure you aren't of the middle class background, you guys always turn out to be) friends out of quasi-poverty conditions? The real American working class, it turns out, are much more receptive and supportive of that aim. Maybe help them fight to stop the outlawing of the health care plan they have negotiated, especially after fighting long and hard over decades to maximize coverage for their families?

Sanders is not a social democrat, he is a democratic socialist, you can clearly see his Marxist beliefs in his speeches. #Sanders2020
@Varkhal2186 жыл бұрын
Lord Hellas Wrong. He only uses the term to gain attraction. Democratic socialism means obtaining the workers control over the means of production peacefully(through reforms, or ballot etc.). He doesn't want that. From his speaches given by him while he was running for the position of Candidate of the Democratic Party, one can clearly see he is proposing welfare capitalism, not socialism. Maybe back in the day he held more radical stances. But we live in the present. Nostalgia is alright, but not at the expense of future plans. Do not let yourself be fooled by centrist rethoric.

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions" A.Hitler 1 May 1927
@Varkhal2187 жыл бұрын
GGCM39 That is actually a Strasser quote. Stop spreading misinformation. Either way, nazis were not socialist. They simply used cheap populism and useless rethoric. The term "privatisation" was used for the first time in history to refer to nazi economic policies.
@ufodeath6 жыл бұрын
Even IF we assume hitler said that (Which he didn't, and certainly would not have meant it IF he did), what in the hell is wrong with the meaning of that quote?
