Just before WWII my grandfather was working for the power company. He was low man on the totem pole. He was given the most beat up ugly truck as his to drive for the company. Funny thing though, he washed and scrubbed and kept that beat up old truck immaculate and as shiny as possible. None of his fellows did. They made fun of him. But the boss noticed...and when a new truck was ordered that usually went to the person with the longest work history in the job, instead of that happening the boss decided that since my grandfather took the greatest care of a beat up old truck ...to the chagrin of his coworkers, my grandfather got the brand new truck.

Same here. All the bad things in my life was directly from rebelling against God. People tend to blame someone else but if we all take a closer look at to why things happened the way they did we would find that out decisions led to those painful situations. I was deserted by my mother at the age of 5, left with an emotionally unstable Dada, raped at the age of 14, a full on drug addict by the age of 17, and God still never left my side. Got pregnant at the age of 19, still on drugs, got clean by the age of 24, got married had 2 more kids and today looking back God used all my bad decisions and still gave me a better life. Even though I kicked and screamed all the way, He never stopped loving me. He's mercy and grace has never failed me.

I feel the same Frank… I have messed up so many times in my life, and have missed a life raft that the Lord sent me years ago… I find it hard to forgive myself for that. I don’t want to bring shame to the name of the Lord either, but I know that I have. It’s easy to get caught up in bad conversations when you’re living in a community where everyone hangs out together, and I’m the only Christian among them. We are the most judgmental to ourselves, but while we are ashamed of our past, we need to remember that God has removed our sins and cast them into the depths of the ocean. I feel like I can relate to Isaiah when he starts off by telling God, "Woe is me, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live amongst a people of unclean lips." I think one of those Seraphim are going to use the tongs and pull out a lot of those glowing coals because there are a lot of us who can't seem to break the cycle of filthy speech. I don’t think it’s Christianity people have a problem with. It’s the forms of religion, and it’s the hypocrisy of the church leaders and it’s black magic mixing truth and lies. Jesus would likely be happy if people lived the Truth at their local bar or down the pub. We are the Temple of God. The Truth is so simple and it doesn’t have to interfere with peoples lives as much as they think and the Laws are there to improve their lives not make them worse. To give them more freedom not less freedom. A lot of people have horrible memories of priests too - sanctimonious, abusive and they made their lives a misery. Those priests are Pharisees and they are workers of evil and darkness and they belong to the devil as their fruits demonstrate in their lives. They are magicians they’re not true Christians. They are the legalists who tell you sit up at this moment and then sit down and then repeat the apostles creed by rote repetition even though the scriptures tell us that He will not hear our prayers if we are like the pagans who repeat things as nauseam repetitively. The Truth is simple. And it liberates.

I would be happy to be a Martyr for Jesus and all that He represents. This world in this darkness and lawlessness is worthless completely to me. Meaning only exists in the light. Everything in the darkness is evil even what good deeds are done. In the light it is not the same. People may make mistakes and their foot may slip but it is resolvable. However if people commit to walk in darkness even what kindness is done becomes underpinned by vast amounts of cruelty. That’s the right hand the mark of the beast. If your pattern in this world is lawlessness what does goodness really mean then. The darkness spoils all of it. There is even leg room in the light for those errors not that we should frequently make them however the light isn’t as harsh about even the errors one might make.

I enjoy listening however I do wonder about feeling “less than” because it is helpful in my experience to have “self-care self love” and I think we do need to love our neighbor as ourself. The problem is that people who do not honor and love themselves also treat other people terrible or they never have any value in and of themselves even if they are Christian. Many people grew up without a healthy loving family and they DO HAVE TO LEARN TO VALUE THEMSELVES AND LEARN TO LOVE THEMSELVES. I am not talking about prideful self elevation that looks down on others - but having actual love for ones self and in who (and who’s) we are. I agree that we have a narcissistic society and those people ruin other people’s trust & self perception and it is helpful to hear motivational sayings like “love yourself”. Because sometimes we don’t do that very well.

Thanks I've been really struggling how to live in this modern environment. I work in a school/kindy and it was breaking my heart with what is happening, being done to those children in the last 3yrs. Everyone will know in 10yrs when they hit high school. Babylon just does what it does. It doesn’t make mistakes. God just wants to count those who will sum it all up like Jesus did. He said, “the works of the world are evil.” For this saying he said that the world hated him. People who live the world hate to hear bad things said about it, like a parent who hates to hear someone say mean things about their child. But men love the world more than they love their children. They will sacrifice their children to preserve the world before they will call it evil and not worth dying for. It is an honor to God to call it evil and die for holding that testimony, the testimony of Jesus.
