Failures all round to be fair, I had child services close my case down even when my daughter sneaked out of the house, taking herself to a motorway bridge and luckily a taxi driver found her and rang the police, I thought she was in bed. But no that doesn't qualify me for respite with my autistic son and my daughter has been diagnose with autism also. They actually told me they can't give me respite just because I need to spend time with my daughter. It's a disgrace, I have no support network and my kids have been through so much but I don't qualify for tier 4 support where I would get respite. I am a widower so doing this alone, had to quit my job which I loved. 3 years as a single parent and no respite at all. I wish you guys would talk about this to be fair. The country is knackered and starmer might aswell sink us and finish us all off.

Islam isn't a race, it's a religion. Reform stands for freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of reigion are included. Under a Reform government there will be freedom of religion, but that doesn't mean that crimes will be tolerated, especially crimes against children. A Reform state will be a secular state where religion is a personal matter left to the individual and will not be promoted or favoured by the state. Religion and government should be kept separate.

Baby P was white not Muslim, the other toddler that was fed his own vomit 😢 was a white kid, the other British babies that were kelled were all white not muslim. Although I retired 20+ yrs ago as a Headteacher I was unfortunately involved in a few bad cases, but none as bad as this. It appears that the system (despite many reviews) has not changed. When a child is placed on the at risk register a Guardian ad Litem should be appointed to ensure the child’s interest are put first. It’s there to bring all relevant agencies together. Re the school- the problem is that if they share their concerns with social services, a meeting with parents is involved. Anger from parents makes it difficult re home/ school relationships (I’m not making excuses) Its the hardest thing I’ve ever done- I saw a male social worker ( whom I knew well) break down in tears at one meeting despite almost begging for children to be removed from family. I retired before the situation was finally resolved . That was the 6th case in my school in 5 years and listening to you all tonight has brought it all back . I still find it incomprehensible how any adult can do such things.

Social services can't cope the government has over burden them they keep importing more and more people many from strange and different cultures an values. The politicians keep overloading the country also because of different races now alot of people are scared of being accused of being racists.

I think passing it on to services without reasonable cause is not good. Sometime earlier this year my daughter (thank god she is very blunt a lot of the times) came home and told me her teacher asked about her leg bruises. My daughter trains martial arts daily is a gold medalist. She looked at her and said they’re jiu jitsu bruises. I was SO taken aback but also glad AND a little offended because the teacher never communicated with me what she’d done. I would’ve definitely been fuming and gone after the teacher had she gotten “services” involved in my case.

There is no such thing as a "cultural" excuse when it comes to crimes against children. The laws of the UK apply to everyone regardless of who they are,their religion or nationality. "Cultural differences" do not apply when it comes to how people treat one another in Britain,how people treat children, how people treat women,you adopt the values of the Country you have chosen to live in not the other way around.
