Durkheim distinction of Normal and Pathological social fact was different - Crime is normal not Pathological (just because it is immoral). When the rate of crime goes beyond than what is normal in that Social Type, then it is said to be Pathological

I’d highly urge you to go through Ritzer Page 74, 75 (5th Edition). Wish I could post pictures of the pages. It’s an entire discussion on how a science of society shall be there. The need of a “coherent and methodical” positive science of societies. And the discussion begins from one book and continues into the other.

does durkheim's concept of Social facts contradicts Marx's concept of Communism, because Communism didn't exits at that time it was just an utopian imagination of Marx so it wasn't a Social fact at that time and so According to Durkheim Mark's shouldn't have studied Communism.??????

Emile Durkheim gave the idea of Social facts in his book - "The Rules of Sociological Method", 1895. While in his book - "Montesquieu & Rousseau", he gave the general conditions for establishment of Social Science. Dear Sir, Kindly clear the doubt.
