Sock

It's been a while! I burned myself out on sock making over Christmas but here I am with sock #155. I chit chat about finding my new toaster oven/ air fryer (Breville Smart Oven Air), and my girl kitty Valentine hangs out with me. Also I will be sending at the Erlbacher Homecoming the first weekend in April 2020 I hope to see you there! I also oil the base of my cylinder and show how I set my ribber height before starting.
The sock road map:
3X1 cylinder needles set up
Waste yarn
Ravel cord (aunt Lydia's cotton thread #10)
project yarn
E wrap
Knit wrapped row
Knit 1 more stopping for ribber, load ribber needles, hanging the 3 bars on each ribber needle
Reset counter, add Lycra, heel spring on
Knit 55 leg rows
15 preheel rows
Deep +3 heel
76 foot rows removing ribber row 71
Round toe
Waste yarn
No kitchener on video.
Yarn is Araucania Huasco sock yarn, not sure of the colorway.

Watching your videos again a few years after the panic and pressure of being a newbie. Just wanna say how especially instructive they were from the get-go (you helped me make my first csm sock gf) but i appreciate them more now that I really understand what you are teaching. Love the detail and explanation. And I especially appreciate how you understand us, your peeps, trying to learn something rather esoteric alone and doing what you do can to make us feel part of a community. Love your videos. Your stories and your sound effects keep me interested in watching the whole video instead of zooming ahead. Love the yarn but the name escapes me. Thank you and would love to watch more sock videos. It doesn’t matter if it’s the same sock pattern as long as we see a different yarn and new stories and recipes and kitties too.

Lots of us are still hunkering down and I can’t be at my sock machine all the time. So I’ll watch your videos. One day I’ll get brave and try e-wrapping. Wonderful video! Breville makes some great products. I have their Barista Express I have had for 9 years. They have repaired it once, which was a simple process (and the problem was totally my making) I have been following your videos for a while and they make me smile. I like how I can follow along with you when you do them real time and then I just replay it to make the second sock :) Your tracking sheet is great, and I totally tweaked it into my own for what I like to keep track of, and was so much better than the one I kind of came up with when I got my sock machine last July. I look forward to meeting you in April at Erlbacher!

Two are 8 oz and the third is 10oz. I don't know why I did it that way, it was on a whim. I would just make them even if I were to do it again.

Nice video. I am not sure how many ladders you picked up for the scallop. E wrap, knit 3 rows and pick up 3 ladders? I really want to try this.

It's 3 ladders yes, but only knit 2 rows. So ewrap = 1st ladder 1 knit row = 2nd ladder 2 row, stop in front load ribber = 3rd ladder

What is that extra thing on your crank?
