Oh how helpful it is to casually watch your videos and absorb the process. I’ve definitely gotten the hang of making different kinds of socks over the last 18 months, but I just realized I’d somehow started to make things way more complicated when it came to changing the ribber needles to cylinder needles. Thanks for the refresher!

Amy, can you talk a little but about the Yarn egg/weight you drop inside of your cylinder? Did you make it? If so how and if you bought it where? You seem to prefer it to the forks and I would live to try it. Also on your chart when refer to 23:4 is it 23 clicks landing on the 4. Love your podcasts Amy! Thank you. If I lived closer to you in Colorado instead of California I would love to crank at the park with you looks like great fun!

If you look in the description you can click a link to my blog that has a resource page on lots of socks stuff. I made the weights using the Colorado Crankers instructions. There's a link on that resource blog page. I do like heel forks better I never really got a v fork to work well for me. I think the v fork is probably the more efficient way to go though. I did make mine with some old salvation army forks, but you can buy them Erlbacher sells them. My main weight is 3 lb, I think my heel forks are about 10 oz but I'll have to check.

I thought I was the only one who had trouble going to a different cylinder. I learned on a 60 and switching to a new machine with a 64 or a 72 I just can’t get a fabric I love.

I just finished the second sock to this pair and I'm so relieved to switch back to my 64 cylinder! It took me five tries to get that second sock to go! 😆😆😆

I always have trouble with my 72 not sure why. I seem to go through alot of replacement needles with the 72!
