I really love you for making so many videos about weapons that are really underated and explaining how to get and what they are good for, I also would really appreciate it if you'd make a video about the Crystal Vile Shard as it is my favorite hard mode weapon, as soon as I enter hard mode I always go to farm souls of light for hallowed mimics, I really love it as it can go through solid blocks and therefore it's a perfect and my Go to weapon for blood moon or solar eclipse!

Empress has some insane drops, not only with the weapons but the Soaring Insignia it's OP, it not only gives you infinite flight time but also increased jump speed, so it's literally the best accessory for the Moon Lord fight cause you can just keep flying and if you land on a block intermediately go up at fast speed.

Hoverboard + soaring insignia + rod of discord is the ultimate cheese, with the super fast sideways speed you can just speed through the world and hold down attack

I feel what makes this weapon suffer the most is the existence of the Razorblade Typhoon. It's much easier to get and you can get it earlier; not only do most people fight EoL after Duke, but unlike EoL, Duke can be fought at beginning of Hardmode. Pair that with it's near similar, and arguably better performance, there's just no real reason to go after the Stellar Tune rather than the Razorblade Typhoon.

@@Annexialol imo stellar tune is better than razorblade typhoon. It's best mage weapon against low hp targets. Fast speed, homing, hit through walls, explodes do some aoe. Amazing weapon.

When you use the weapon with boosted use time in the end it looks like a zenith but star. I think it would be awesome for more bosses to drop magic musical instruments, maybe even a post-moon lord equivalent to this one that shoots pillar fragments?

This has to be my favorite weapon Mage weapon in all of Terraria. Looks cool, deals TONS of damage with little issues (especially for it's point in progression) That being said, it's obtainability is where it starts to fall apart, with a 1/50 drop chance (1/20 if you're in Expert Mode) from a fairly difficult boss which comes close to the hardest boss in Terraria Ultimately, it's up to you if you want to go for the stellar tune or skip it for the nebula blaze

I was surprised myself by its performance in one of my playthroughs. I was looking for something different to try, I knew it was good, but damn. Another important thing to note about it is the ability to fire through blocks! (albeit reducing the damage slightly)

I definitely think this weapon is high on my list of mage weapons. could be second only to the razorblade. it’s supremely useful due to its projectiles going through blocks, especially in the jungle temple where it can basically explore ahead of you with its high damage and pretty decent lighting. It really does shine for the comparatively small amount of time you could use it. razorblade still reigns supreme in my heart though

When you are searching for Prismatic Lacewing, I recommend it, to do it when there’s a Blood Moon, because that incrases the spawn rates, and there will be many, many Prismatic Lacewings. (e.g once I got 23 Prismatic Lacewings from ONE Blood Moon night.)

It is possible to consistently get the Stellar Tune from a single EoL kill. You beat her once, save and quit, come back in, and open the bag. If you get it, you're good. If you don't, Alt+F4 Rinse and repeat until you have it.

Nightglow is a beastly weapon too (also dropped by empress of light and with 25% drop rate) and carried me through the last part of hard mode, it has low mama usage good damage for dealing with both enemies and bosses and paired up with the ghost armor it’s amazing the amount of damage you can deal

I think the stellar tune is such a great weapon for late hardmode, but I do think that if you are already using the shrimpy truffel to defeat empress you might as well just get the razorblade typhoon whilst killing duke fishron. :/

i want to add that the nightglow is also insane. EoL is easier for me than fishron, and the nightglow deals a lot of damage to the moon lord with 0 aim and not that big a mana cost (easily deals more dps than both the nebula blaze and the razorblade typhoon)

It also synergizes like crazy with the offensive spectre set. Unlike typhoon, it shoots FOUR homing projectiles that hit more than once, and each one can trigger spectre armor. You can end up with an absolute magic bullet storm with that thing.

1:04 For better chances of finding one, ALWAYS farm them whenever its Raining In my experience Raining increases Critter spawn, and with Blood moon in effect as well you’ll get about 12 lacewings in one night.

yeah its worth it, very VERY fun to use, the range is as far as your cursor and it doesnt suffer as much in the pillars as the razorblade or other mage weapons because it goes trough blocks, and as you showed, has lots of aoe and single target dps, as well as good tracking, one of my favorite weapons of all time

Could you do a video showing off the flying dragon? It's one of my favorite swords in the game, being great for practically every purpose, and is easily able to outdamage most other post-golem swords. Its projectile even passes through blocks, which is something most swords can't do.

The Empress of Light drops are all some of my favorite weapons. I just wish I were patient enough to get this one. Edit: Betsy's Wings and the Gelatinous Pillion work really well for me dodging her, so if (like me) you find Duke Fishron more difficult, that's a great combination. Hoverboard has the same functionality as Betsy's Wings if you don't want to grind the Old One's Army, or if you want to do it pre-Golem.

Hands down the biggest strength of this weapon is the Solar Pillar, which let's be honest is everyone's least favourite pillar. The Stellar Tune is so good in this event because it goes through blocks and can kill those pesky Corites super easily, can't be deflected by the Selinians spin attack and even homes in on crawltipedes tails if you aim it close enough which can save you if you made a bad dodge and ended up far enough above the ground to draw their aggro. It always has a space in my hotbar for this reason alone. Only downside is it's INSANELY high mana usage but let's be honest since when does the mana flower care about that.

Empress is such a cool fight that I normally do after moonlord. This time, thow, I did after golem for eventide purposes (hot take: eventide better than tsunami). The tune suffers from the lack of drop rate, really, and the lazy mages keeping razorblade going for as long as they can.

Spectre armor and Razorblade typhoon is really good against empress. Swap between healing and dmg, you can pretty much tank lot of empress' damage with the healing of spectre armor. Make sure to equip a knokback resistance shield unless you'll get stuck between her fast projectiles. I pretty much farmed all the empress' drops, pre Golam with this method. (expert mode)

i actually remember using this weapon in my first 1.4 playthrough! i was doing a mage playthrough and i fought the empress pre golem i think. honestly quite a good weapon! really fun too, i love that its a pink guitar. the empress is my favorite boss to fight bc i love her telegraphed attacks and the fast pace of the battle. its also really easy to resummon her - without battle potions i can get 5-7 summons each night easily. that being said, ever since 1.4.4 nerfed the queen slime mount... ive had some more troubles with her. just a bit :P EDIT: wait its 5% drop rate??? i got it on like, my first or second kill! for sure its only lacking quality is that its range is limited to your cursor, other than that, its a really fantastic weapon. if somethings in range of your screen? its dead.

If you are playing a mage, you need this weapon. What he didn't go over was that the projectiles go through walls as well, so terrain may as well not exist with this thing. If you can see it, you can kill it with this. The Stellar Tune is by far the best Empress drop out there.
