These reviews are really helping me. Steve really gets to grips with the working environments that everyone can easily relate to - stage, close-up and cabaret. I’ve bought my last four effects on the strength of Steve’s reviews and have not been disappointed.

I absolutely love this trick. It sure fooled me. I am not sure about the final stage. Maybe a bit over kill. I agree with you that the timed force is a bit iffy. Liam Montier uses it quite a bit and has a great tutorial. I can't remember which trick it was. Great review again. BTW I think the price is also quite reasonable. I could tell by your face how genuinely pleased you were performing this for the kids

Rob Jacks thanks Rob and yep I think it’s a lovely trick. I felt the same about the kicker. However, I can see it working in parlour and informal situations if it feels right. For larger audiences I would probably stick with the main effect.

this trick is amazing and I’m definitely gonna get it. Thinking about it I got a gig at a wedding with a little stage performance and this sort of trick would play amazing

You are badass!You performed the timing force for kids?That's a big win definately.I am this kind of magician who wants everything perfect,i liked the timing force but i didn't like that much the way that we handle things if it fails.A great kicker would be if you forced the 8 of hearts to their teacher before you went to the stage and after ending the socks part you could say by the way your teacher selected a card before the show started.And you show the bottom part of the socks.BOOM! Amazing review!

Skyladikooo ha! Thanks loads and yep I was slightly nervous about the force 🤣🤣

Thank you for the clear review. Great thoughts. By the way Michel is a super guy and a very experienced performer so all of his offerings are real workers. I’m sure if you contacted him about sourcing additional socks he would have a way to get them.

I performed this last night and swapped the reveals about and inadvertently cocked up but seemed to end with a biggerand better finish. version. I’ll explain more in the discord.

I like the trick. However, I probably wont ever do it. I wear cowboy boots when performing and I would need/want stage size cards. I would guess the design of the socks on the cards would be hard to distinguish from 50 or more feet back. (15 meters)
@thestreet95375 жыл бұрын
Alec Negri I was gonna day that stage cards size cards would have been better. $20.00 2.0 no doubt
@RealMagicReview5 жыл бұрын
Agreed that cowboy boots would be a struggle! And yes larger cards for bigger audiences would be good 😊

Cheers for the review and for the footage from the children's school/party gig. Did you do the reveal at the end (showing all the cards matching perfectly bar the two chosen ones) and what was the reaction of the children to that? I'm asking because I see Vanishing are doing a re release/launch of the trick and thought it might fit (no pun intended) nicely into a kids show/event/workshop?
@slysmagic5 жыл бұрын
Steve, Do you think that one move at the end to show all the socks match, could easily be done with jumbo cards?
@RealMagicReview5 жыл бұрын
Alec Negri hi Alec. I don’t see why not as it’s a very simple move of a couple of cards. Hope that helps 😊

As a stage magician, I really need to have the trick work EVERY time. It was a little unclear from your review whether this is actually possible. The timing method he used in his trailer was very clean but it seems like, from what you said, that I wouldn't be able to use that method and would have to use an alternate method to make it 100% certain. Would be nice if I could see the alternate method BEFORE I buy the trick.
@RealMagicReview5 жыл бұрын
kevinjanet the alternative version I mentioned in the text is fine I reckon. It’s a little like a riffle force, and I would be happy using it on stage. Not quite as clean as the timing one, but it would fly for the audience. 😊

Firstly: I’ve pre ordered this, however had I watched this review first I wouldn’t have bothered. I hate it when dealers don’t give all the facts, ie I thought it was 100% foolproof. But knowing there’s outs kinda puts a dampener on it for me. Secondly: how dare you imply that mentalists aren’t fun people!!! I’ll have you know sometimes I mix my cocopops in the same bowl as my corn flakes & sometimes just to be rebellious I’ll have jam on toast 😱 🤪 Awesome review as always buddy 👌
@RealMagicReview5 жыл бұрын
Lab9 Haha! You know how to live! Thanks loads and I think you’ll find the alternative force fine. I mentioned it in text on the bottom of the screen, as I missed it the first time. Not quite as clean, but I would be happy using it. 😊😊

I’d be interested to see how the last phase comes across with adults once you’ve had more of a chance to try it out. Seems a bit of an anti-climax to me.

Martin Allcock I agree. Michel says his friend said the same, but he finds it always plays well. I’m looking forward to trying it more 😊😊

When I first saw the trailer for this effect, I thought it was a wind- up. I still think it is taking magic to an all time low and people should put a sock in it!
@Maxbev145 жыл бұрын
I reckon you could reverse engineer how this effect works.
