I used to own a packet set of 4 DVD’s 📀 consisting of this information, with very little editing. I wish I had studied them more often. This is all excellent information. This is raw and rare footage. 🎥

Why did the podcast episodes stop? Since March, haven’t see a new episode uploaded on KZbin Music etc. Please tell us there a backlog of content that’ll fill that void ?

I would like to do the navy seal training without the repercussion of being thrown to the needs of the navy locked under 6 year contract if I fail. If I fail just send me home.

With that kind of attitude, you could wash out of boot camp, never mind BUDS.

@@jeffbeck8993 *Could* yes, but Its also possible to hold this attitude and be a solid performer. That happens to be my case. I'm just realistic about the inherent risks and odds. Theres not many jobs in the navy I would still like to do if I were to fail at becoming a seal. If I could at least get a contractual guarantee to one of my jobs of interest, then I would be ok signing that 6 year contract. As of now, its one-sided for the navy.

I understand, amigo, but you've already psyched yourself out planning for failure. Think the program flooded in recent years, so retreading back to BUDS from the Fleet isn't like it used to be. Now that the Hollywood / podcast fan girl phase is winding down, the line of applicants should go down accordingly, so policy will change. Supply&Demand. Not if. Just when. As far as quitting/med/tech fails, had a lot of BUDS drops work for me overseas, just a couple years before 9/11 went down, back when Charlie Sheen/US Navy SeALS movie was still the gold-standard for SeAL wannabes. I was a Chief at the time. They fell into 2 general categories. 1) The worst were the young ones who'd rung the bell (usually Hell Week), but laughably acted as if they were better than their regular, active duty co-workers. Some technical and/or med drops weren't so bad but decided to hang out with the immature DB crew called "BUDS Duds". "Quitters". Their stated goal was to fk up enough to get kicked out the Navy, failing to live up to their word and adult commitments. Had some fellow Chiefs from our local ST-5 Det walk over a few times to bust their bubbles until they cried. A very few took the hint and pulled their head out of their a**. The rest landed at Captain's Mast (some more than once), and after time on restriction, forfeit cash and whatever rank they might have had by then, I'd recommend to the Skipper to do the Navy a favor and kick these oxygen thieves to the curb. This is the group you see on-line years later trying to appeal their unfavorable DD-214 discharge code. Some wind up on Don Shipley's Fake Navy SeALs podcast. These are the kids Shrek (Sheriff of Baghdad) refers to as the "baby" program - and not in a good way. 2) A smaller group were committed to going back to BUDS. One dude had already washed out twice. These guys were typically a few years older by then, E3/E4 and even an E5 or two, already been in the Fleet, so they knew how things worked, and acted like adult men. They sucked it up. Did the job. Capable. Reliable. Trustworthy. They kept training, stayed in the gym, didn't act like fools, and I did my small part to grease the admin skids to make them attractive for another shot at BUDS. One of them was Travis Lively - a total clown at first, pain in my a^^, but he eventually pulled his head out, acted his age and became one of my most reliable and favorite turds. He made it back to BUDS and ultimately into the Teams for GWOT. That's how it's done. No matter what losers say about the Navy, if you put forth the effort, demonstrate you can suck it up even when you're hatin' life, and don't be a wuss about it, Fleet Chiefs will take notice and help you along for the betterment of the US Navy as a whole. Good luck whatever you decide. JB Master Chief, USN(Ret).⚓
