@BeckyJean it wasn't salty at all. Tasted like peanut butter fudge, and it was a little rich.

@@BeckyJean , Thank you Becky Jean for asking , there's no salty taste , only nice sweet taste of peanut butter , hint of vanilla 😋 and crunchy walnuts . The texture is perfect 👌 for this fudge recipe . The M&Ms also make this fudge extra nice and tasty.

This is a very good depession-era recipe. You explained the technique well. Thanks to your late mother!! For the peanut butter, if one does not have a device like yours, just measure 1/2 cup and remove 2 tablespoons. For the crackers, instead of counting 28, I, being a lazy donkey, crushed the entire packet (in the package), cut the end, and, still coarse, dumped it in. Smoothed out perfectly. I used 1/2 cup of cashews, and, whilst the mixture was still hot, added 75 grams of a hazelnut Belgian milk chocolate bar (3/4 of a 100 gram bar). And, yes, it hardened nicely at cool room temperature. Serves one. Grateful. Subscribed.
