not for much longer, Hasbro is ruining the Magic card market. Value is dropping like a rock. Give me the 60-100K in jewelry all day long. It has an actual store of value that does not go away. MTG could be worthless in 2 years...its is cardboard and it is being over printed...which I know does not change the rarity of the early Lotus etc, but it makes people less interested in the cards, and Trading cards are worth nothing if no one will buy one.
@Ledbottom862 жыл бұрын
@@moby1kanob the original cards cant be reprinted and they will always have some value as long as there are collectors for the game. The problem is that the community itself will die down and people in it wont have the funds to buy 50k worth of cards. Meanwhile jewelry will always keep its value

What I don't get about so many of these things is that they're family heirlooms of a sort, left to you by relatives and close friends... And yet they're never actually curious enough take time to look at the details and stuff? Like that last ring there had VCA pretty clearly signed if you just looked at it from another angle, she instantly knew VCA meant Van Cleef & Arpels, but never actually look at the jewellery in detail?

Man I used to have a first edition shiny Charizard in my pokemon card collection in the early 00's. Always kept it in a sleeve and I actually PLAYED the card game rather than just collected. I gave all my cards away in 2004/2005 to my friend across the street before we moved away. I sure hope he did something with those cards and didn't just toss them at some point. I know I had other valuable cards in my collection but by the time I gave the cards away it had been years since I had last actually played the card game so I can't remember anything other than the Charizard. Can't believe it's been 18 fucking years since then and I'm 33 now. Fuck time.

All those making fun of him for keeping the paperwork of that rolex are really stupid. You should always keep the paperwork and staple the receipt to the manual for the item you bought and file it away with the rest of your documents simply out of habit. At the same time write the serial and model number of the item on the back of the receipt. On final thing you can do is carve your initials into the item if possible by using a knife on plastic/wood or etching your initials into the metal before taking a picture of it. Etching into metal is something anyone can do with some batteries, salt, water, and a stencil. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fH2sdaZ4pdtoZpY Obviously don't go carving your initials into any luxury shit that you buy in case you plan to sell it later. Its some good advice to have should you decide to live with roommates or neighbors who have sticky fingers.. Makes it really easy to cut through their lying theiving bullshit if you can show them the initial mark along with the paperwork and photo of the initial mark.

Who needs diamonds when you have cardboard?
@CabbageGod2 жыл бұрын
Diamonds are artificially rare, a commodity created by the people who wanted to sell them. So cardboard and diamonds really aren't all that different, except that the perceived value of diamonds have been sewn into our society for many generations. But it would be just as easy for me to say who needs rocks when you have cardboard? Makes them both sound pretty silly when you phrase it like that.
