My brother made me a power adapter. Therefore I don’t have to go look for one today. I have hooked it up and tried my first one touch and it works great. First thing I tried yes, was orange juice. Carbonated water to the amount of three orange juice containers, then added the frozen orange juice without pulp, mixed it up and wow it’s like a Snapple drink. Snapple O.J. O J Simpson would love this drink.

I had a second new cartridge ($70 CDN fml) but when i switched cannisters the continuous carbonation did not happen. If this happens to you exchange the cannister and you will be good

OK I'm gonna try again. I tried twice and got water everywhere, as in your demo!lol Then when I removed the bottle the gas kept coming out, even after I unplugged it. The problem is, the picture instructions are so vague, as is their mini video online. It didn't show how to put the gas cylinder in, where the power cable goes or do you press the button once or keep your finger pressed down? I didn't know how long to keep the bottle inside before removing....Oh well. I'll persevere. Thanks for your helpful vid!

Can you show the amount of carbonation for each level. I got my first sodastream in 1982 and I'm on my 4th now but the water goes flat quite quickly even with new gas and new bottles and I end up throwing so much flavoured water away. So I'm intrigued with the levels of fizz.

The outcome seems related to how tightly to affix the water bottle to the top of the bottle dock. It would help if the product instructions clearly showed how to set the bottle in the dock to avoid the overbubbling mess. I have now succeded one time to get it right after taking more care to fit the bottle snuggly into the top of its dock. I hope this is a repeatable solution; otherwise, back to Bed Bath and Beyond it goes.

@@EverythingPractical Wow... That's a lot. I guess they need that to run some solenoid. Thanks for the information. That's not something easily obtainable with a battery... Three 9V batteries would be 27V... but I don't think they could sustain 1.67 amps for very long. Seven 3.7V batteries would be 26 volts... they could definitely handle the load long enough... If you are buying bottled water for your sodastream then you are pretty much defeating the purpose of NOT using a lot of bottles for the health of the planet. I'm just saying. Also, he forgot the part about pushing that clear plastic part forward so that you can place the bottle in there and then most it back. It's all in the details. Also, if you are using tap water from the sink and it's unfiltered perhaps let the water run for several second before filling the bottle.

Hello! Unfortunately here in Switzerland I can not find it. Seems I am only able to order a 24 pack that would cost $300. Im sure it's good, but not practical for me to order this in ;) Being bit of a water expert myself, I can tell you that the combination of minerals in the water give it the flavor. The addition of CO2 gives it that fun fizziness we all love. Even if I tried Topo Chico, I wouldn't be able to achieve the exact taste with only the soda stream. I would need water with similar mineral concentrations as well. But I imaging you are more after the level of carbonation. I can't imagine Topo chico would add more carbonation than the level 3 setting for the soda stream because this is already high. If you want more, you can cycle it again. If it is less than the lowest setting there are 2 tricks. 1) after it's done carbonating, shake the bottle before opening to gas off the CO2, and 2) you can stop the dosage of the CO2 by pressing the button again after you have done some trial and error. I hope this helps a little. If I ever have the pleasure to try Topo Chico mineral water at a reasonable price, I absolutely will!

I would check that the CO2 is properly screwed in. After, unplug it and plug back in again and try to carbonate again. Let me kow if this helps!

It is pretty obvious if you have the device. It is not that it is hidden, otherwise I would have included it in the video. I hope you reconsider your thumbs down :)

What does this even mean? Anyways, it is on the bottom. I think I'll make another video of only tips and tricks, and include how to plug the device in ;)
@selkie305
@selkie305 3 жыл бұрын
I had some trouble finding it at first, too. You turn it over, look at the bottom (not inside the back), and you'll see a little notch on the bottom for the cord. Near that on the inside of the bottom, there are two more notches to hold the cord in place, then a hole for the plug.

You were kind enough to show some easy steps but neglected to show how to find and where to plug in the power cord. None of the videos cover this point. Probably best to plug in the machine end of the power cord BEFORE inserting the CO2. Just a point
@EverythingPractical
@EverythingPractical 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, you are not the first one to say this. The power cord goes in the bottom. If the cylinder is in first, you can still plug in the machine. I have unplugged the machine and back in again with the cylinder installed and I have not experienced any issues.

Not only is it shown, I show it twice... I also have a second video for tips and tricks you can check out. I do detail putting the bottle in clearer. I will also publish a new video this weekend testing carbonation with many different drinks. It's a fun and educational video 😃 I hope you reconsider the subscription 🙂
