Greetings from Florida, that was a very good video. I was thinking about buying something for refilling my empty Soda Stream cylinders but after seeing your video this is by far the easiest way to go, which I shall now do. Thanks for that information.

It not quite as sexy on the bench as the sodastream machine but I think it works even better and you can also get to higher carbonation levels too as the PRV in the sodastream machines is quite low.

You have all the bases covered Kee, I've been watching 'Grain to Glass Inc' (Canada) and they can't speak highly enough of Kegland and your products and service, long story short...'I dropped your name' and said Kegland in Aussie is the BEST hands down!. Cheers for this latest review on carbonation... I think it' going to be the next BIG thing. Onya mate 👍.

Much appreciated. I am actually Canadian myself (dual citizen) and it's probably about time I come up and do some travel up that way. I know you guys have some absolutely cracking breweries up that way so a trip is well and truly overdue. My family is mostly in Toronto. Kee

I bought your soda water kit last year and it's been fantastic, I've done away with the Sodastream altogether. I find the larger bottles go flat too quickly, I like it super fizzy and your smaller pet beer bottles are just the right size (good price too) and I keep a few in the fridge ready to go.
@KegLand8 ай бұрын
thanks for the support. Yes it's cheaper just to do away with the whole sodastream machine.

First i am hearing about these new sodastream cylinders will you be making an updated Deluxe Sodastream Cylinder Adapter (with pin adjustment)? I also agree with the end of the video, if you decide to spend money on this sodastream setup you will find it lacking, because sodastream is the weaklink. I did prefer the carbonation cap method as it wasted way less gas without the sodastream "burping" and had a better result you could also preload bottles and get them ready without having to open them until you needed them. But this setup is a good gateway that you can recycle most the parts into a better setup down the line.
@KegLand8 ай бұрын
Yes I would totally agree. If you go to a little bit more effort setting up a mains connected system saves gas and it's way more convenient. I think a lot of customers get scared hooking up the continuous systems but it's well worth the effort as this is what I use myself.

You mentioned filling up the soda stream cylinders at the supermarkets, I bought 2, 6kg kegland co2 tanks and it is a 1 and a half hour drive for me to get the thing filled, I then have to leave the keg over night because they refuse to do it while you wait even though they have some new fastfilling station and then I have to drive back the next day to get it, Is there any way that Kegland work with either supermarkets, Bunnings or someone because there are hardly any co2 filling places in regional Victoria, this is the only thing about brewing and kegging your own beer that annoys me, this co2 refills is not catered for.

Do you have to turn the 5 LB tanks upside down to fill the 60L Co2 cylinders using a Co2 Refill Adapter?
@jaredteerman4180Ай бұрын
Any chance you've tested your sodastream hoses on a Breville Infizz? It's the standard SS thread but I've found it's a nightmare to turn the thread inside the Breville machine. Current workaround is filling a KL cylinder from donor but I'd love a direct fit if possible

I have a 6kg cylinder and looking to buy this adaptor hose... does anyone know if it's fine for CO2 cylinder to be lying on it's side?

You guys ever thinking of having a Sydney franchise ?
@KegLand8 ай бұрын
Probably not likely as the shipping cost is quite low to get the goods from Melbourne to Sydney anyway. We might one day have a distribution center in QLD.

When Fizzing water with CO2 using SS unit, push button/pull handle until it has reached max pressure (squeak). Wait 30 to 45 seconds for the CO2 gas to dissolve into the water. Do a second, wait for the sound at end, less time as it has some CO2.. I never have to do a 3rd and it is VERY Fizzy! Everyone I see use a SS Unit, they press press press and snatch bottle off in under 10 seconds. Insufficient time for the CO2 to dissolve into solution. (Basic Chemistry) Another option for the hose to enter the SS Unit, at counter top from side or back, use a screw driver, put it in gas fire of hob until it is Hot. Use the round length of the screw driver to press into the bottom edge making a U shape. Move sideways until the U is wide enough for the hose. PVC of SS Unit melts easily. (Remember to put the screwdriver under tap water to return to room temp to avoid a red hot poker burn).

I have the bottle and the old hose, stopped using it as i found it always leaked.
@KegLand8 ай бұрын
Where did you get the leak from? Was it the quick disconnect fitting? We have made some improvements to the o-ring material which has made the whole fitting more reliable so I wonder if you can just change the o-rings on the quick disconnect over.

I think where it connected to soda stream.
