I love how grandpuff basically gets whacked by the roof and doesn't even react, he's just pissed xD No wonder he was so casual about it so many years later.

I want sure that ‘Little Railway Adventure’ could be topped, but yet, here we are. This was a beautiful story. The three engines were so on point, and very well cast too might I add. My favourite aspect of the whole thing was how you involved the people that live along the line. There’s something about narrow gauge railways which just feel a lot homelier and you’ve captured that spirit in droves here. I was blown away by the sets here too. Love the rock face by the sheds! The set where Stuart meets the passengers is my favourite I think. That is to say nothing of the models, which are nothing short of brilliant. Goodness knows how many hours have gone into them but they just are those characters through and through (shout out to the coach with windows on the end too!). I’m so, so glad you managed to get this out for Christmas. It’s absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to see what you have lined up next. P.S - As a fan of the lore, I can’t not mention how much I enjoyed how well this slotted into the history of the railway too 👀

Thank you so much mate, this all means so much! I agree, the passengers were essential to making this a truly ‘Christmassy’ story. Always wanted to make this one seem like an old annual story, or even from a book itself. Cheers!

@@TheJamTram this is a very nice. what year is it set in exactly I am guessing 1945 or possibly pre war unlike its real life twin it seems that in your story the Mid Sodor still ran a small number of passenger trains for the local peo itple who loved and admired it. really love Duke's livery its nice how they helped to repair the damage to the Engine shed's roof and put Cora and the rest of the train back on the tracks

Very wholesome stuff here :) You always seem to capture the 'cold yet busy and rewarding' vibe of December. The time period is really good too considering we rarely see stories about the MSR. Makes it bittersweet to think one could argue this was their final christmas before the place closed 💔 Wonderful model work once more as well:)

You've come leaps and bounds in making videos down the line and this was a fine one indeed! I've really fallen in love with the Mid Sodor Railway the past year so it's always a pleasure to see it show up in videos. Well done mate, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I've only just noticed this today; since I did not look into your channel over the Christmas period, this had not been recommended to me earlier. You managed to better 'Little Railway Adventure' here, even though the latter was also a sweet video. The presented atmosphere, the camera-work, the detailing of the sets and models, the casting all feel appropriate and lift up what already comes across as a stellar story. It was nice you chose not to present other engines on the Mid Sodor line, keeping the focus tightly on Stuart and Falcon's relationship with Duke, though it was nice to have the 1936 auction as mentioned in Wilbert Awdry's notes referenced to aid continuity. Given this would also have been set before the Second World War and the final decline of the railway, it would make this story in retrospect feel bittersweet. A cracking video, mate. Regards, Samuel Farris.

What an amazing story, the models were made very well, everyone played their part spectacularly, and the atmosphere, as always, was the best part in my opinion, I could feel the cold out in the valley, the activity in the town, and the warm works station was done so right. Keep up the great work. Oh and merry Christmas and to all of those who have taken part.

This was wonderful! It's an interesting era, before the railway was going to close, and I am so glad you wrote a story featuring the engines and how they'd react to said changes. I loved the music, the voice acting, the visuals, and especially the writing! Duke pride is both his greatest strong suit, and weakness, and I think both were captured extremely well! Right out of a book this was! Merry Christmas man, thanks for the awesome video!

Thank you for such a lovely comment! Really glad you thought Duke was portrayed well, I always feel people go too far one way or another with his character, so I’m glad to have struck some sort of ‘balance’. Merry Christmas!

Thanks! Duke is a Langley Models Prince kit, Stuart is a Meridian Corris no.4, and Falcon is the Rodney Stenning Corris 3 kit. The former runs on a fleischmann 7000 chassis, and the latter run on N-Drive short wheelbase chassis.
