So glad that you like Soen. Yes, many say that they sound like Tool, which is even more so with their previous albums, but their 2019 album "Lotus" ,in which "Martyrs" is one track, is a giant step towards them developing their own sound.

I send hugs from Germany, really liked your emotional reaction. A wise man once said, that Music can impress you, or Music touches your Soul. the best Music is the one, which does both, so does Soen. You will be envious, when I tell you that I saw them twice in small Clubs in Cologne, the first time I stood Right in front of Marcus Jidell, I could have played his guitar as close as I was. The second time I stood Right in front of Joel Ekelöf, what a fantastic singer, and it made him human, being nervous as if he was on stage for the very first time; I like when Artists seem to be sensitive and do not act like they got the biggest balls, sorry …. like many american "rock stars" do, sorry twice :-) (sorry also for the misspelling, must be my german Computer)

We missed you too! Welcome back and some great songs to come back with! As for Kel's mention of having emotions come and go. I can't fully relate, I've been depressed but I never stopped feeling. However I got a similar experience with being in love. With my first big relationship that woman was my world. As I've later put it, I wasn't just in love with her, I was in love with her mind. Just listen to her talk made me happy. That relationship ended because I guess the feeling wasn't entirely mutual. We were probably to young, I for sure wasn't mature enough. And for about seven or so years that was it. I've fallen in loved, loved women but it never truly stuck. I ascribed it to a loss of novelty I guess? That was till I met a woman about a year ago. I fell so hard and so completely. Sadly she was an utterly toxic person. I gave her far to many chances but in the end she had to go. But she taught me there's a hidden depth to love. A depth I haven't forgotten, I just hadn't found another person to unlock it with yet. Maybe it will be another seven years till that happens, maybe I'll never meet someone like it. But I know what's out there and what I'll look for.

Okay! Listened to this group and song by Soen for the first time on your channel, and thanks a lot for that! I think it was about a month ago? My impression was: - Hmm, I like this, it intrigues me on a deeper level. Listened to it some more and surprisingly added it to my " Power WorkOut-list on Spotify! Didn't gravel me into the lyrics at the time, but today I had a talk to an old friend that I haven't spoken to in some time. For some reason, my memory leaped back to your/mine impression of your imprinted impression of this song, and I recommended it to him as a perfect song to dig out and find your true self! So thank you for sharing your mind and soul // Cheers from Sweden

#Darkwater Alive (Pt. II) Chattanooga TN USA kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3W8pZ5siL6egJo Absolutely LOVE this band and this song. Extremely important for us to bring to the light the dark topic of suicide, with suicide rates hitting all-time highs and with no signs of it slowing down. Alive (Pt.II) gets my vote for song of the year. And the band's new album "Human" will surely be in consideration for 2019 album of the year. You will absolutely love this song as well Kel and Rich!! Good morning, hope you are both well and having a lovely day. #Helloween Sole Survivor: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYbVhXtujbaLkKs from Hamburg, Germany but living and working in London, England. This high tempo highly emotional song hides a dark secret which has only really come to light and been talked and treated with regards to how Military and people caught up in horrific acts/war or acts of mindless violence try to deal and process what they have or are going through. I myself have not been affected, but when you listen to those brave Military Personnel, Police who stand in harms way to protect and give us our way of life, when you here about their struggles about how they try to deal with their pain and suffering it is heartbreaking and they need and deserve help in dealing with the struggles they are going through. I suppose like many things in life, when I was younger I didn't realise or understand the complete meaning of this song, however like the saying goes "never judge a book by its cover", I think here never judge a song solely on it's music, because for me the music shows the chaos, fear, confusion going around in this person's head, whilst all he is trying to do is express and tell of his pain and suffering but either he can't or is unable to do so, or because nobody is listening. The Song itself is just a brilliant song, however the lyrics for me over time and with more experience and understanding have changed my perspective of what the song means. Have a lovely day and thanks for your channel.
