I find it brilliant how ZUN took an upbeat theme like this one (showing what Marisa was like in the PC-98 days when she was, what, 13 or something?) and completely transform it without changing the notes completely by changing the instruments, speeding it up a tad and shifting the odd note to turn it into a crazy and ridiculous theme (showing Windows Marisa's... interesting personality). He is our god, after all.

If you pay attention the the slight details, you'll notice certain notes are different from Love Colored Master Spark. Move forward to SWR and they use Love Colored Magic as her theme, with the different notes that are used in Comparison to Love Colored Master Spark, and I like that detail.

I know that Love-Couloured Master Spark is a remix of Love-Couloured magic, but actually it's called Love-Coloured Master Spark, because the remix is actually a more powerful version rather than a more melodic version. Love-coloured Magic is more song than dance and Love-coloured Master Spark is more Dance than Song. If you listen closely, while it carries the same melody, it is vastly different from the original and *not* just because of extra instrument banks. There's a reason it's called that instead of Love-coloured magic. If you want a more accurate remix, then listen to the Fighting Game versions of Love-coloured Magic.

ZUN's compositions, melodies, and harmonies are just beautiful, but I don't think he understands the concept of sub-bass. What I mean is; sub bass adds a whole other layer of solidity that I think these earlier Touhou originals really could have benefited from. Never the less, these tracks are a joy to listen to, and maybe ZUN chose not to add low bass, for the sake of style? I don't know. He's a genius anyway. Just a thought.
