Sofia City Guide, Bulgaria | Europe's Most Strange & Underrated Capital 🇧🇬

Join me in exploring the captivating city of Sofia, Bulgaria. With an incredibly rich history, Sofia is one of the oldest cities in Europe.
Overlooked by Vitosha mountain, Sofia boasts an array of interesting and beautiful buildings, with an abundance of Roman remains throughout the city and extraordinary landmarks such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Ivan Vazov National Theatre. As well, there are numerous communist-era landmarks and buildings which take you back to when Bulgaria was part of the Soviet Eastern Bloc.
We will also take a look down Vitosha Street, the main strip in Bulgaria which has an abundance of bars, restaurants shops and cafes. After that I will show you two incredible day trips you can do from Sofia:

Acctualy, it is the 3rd oldest capital. Athens and Rome are older.

Never visited actually, I heard it isn't worth visiting compared to Gdansk and Wroclaw, but some photos I saw it looks beautiful. Would you recommend it?

It's just called Monument to the Soviet Army I believe Stephen, about 25 mins walk from the city centre. Enjoy Sofia! Let me know how you find it

Hello Sorry but the Cyrillic did not originate in Bulgaria but from Thessaloniki Greece From St Methodius and St Cyril they spread Christianity to the Slavs
