I doubt locals were judging you all that much on the center pedestrian street. It's a place where groups of foreigners pass by every 2-3 hours on most days (tour guides) especially people from Japan, China, Germany and recently France. So we are very much used to foreigners, and the majority of us have nothing but good vibes towards new people in the city. Glad to hear you like it here!

Enjoy your time in Bulgaria. I am from Burgas. If you want to visit Burgas, do so during the summer, for it is a great summer resort. Want a more high end restaurant here? Try Medusa. It's right on the other side of the road where the Lazur Happy is.
