I love the fight scene between Klaus and Marcel and his vampires this episode but it's so stupid that Marcel (and here even Rebekah) thought they can beat Klaus. They spent like five minutes on whole plan lol Rebekah knows him since literally ever, Marcel was probably the closest to him at some point excluding his siblings and it was just very stupid and naive from them to start this battle now. He has centuries of advantage over Marcel and his night walkers. Marcel or Rebekah should know Klaus temper and cruelty, they saw him fighting many times for sure...

Your analysis of Rebekah's poor choices in men is spot on. I think it stems from mikeal the same way klaus is damage by him as well. Mikeal wasva hard stern man who showed little to no emotional connection to his children including rebekah. Lacking a paternal or male emotional connection Rebekah unconsciously tries to "fill" that missing part of her or fill that hole by easily falling for men who shows her affection even when they show some extreme red flags. The gang in Mystic falls even lampshaded this in S3 when they where coming up with a plan to separate the Mikealsons and to kill one of them individually.

I have never understood why they call klaus paranoid. Rather, i think everybody is just gaslighting him lol. Rebekah has plotted so many times to kill him, marcel has as well, so many other tvd and to characters..hell, klaus's own mother tried to kill him. If such a person thinks that "ppl are out to get him" then, yes, he sure as hell is right.

Not daggering anyone was the worst pain he could inflict to them. When he daggers them he just gain their anger and hide his motivations and his pain, then when he releases them time is passed only for one of the sides, Klaus’. So when he frees them he is no longer angry with them and he is ready to start over while for them time is not passed so they wake up as angry and hurt as they were when he daggered them. This leads to the cycle of rage, betrayal and daggering all over again and again and again. Normally it would have happened even here, he would have daggered, suffered on his own without sharing anything to elaborate on their side, this time he left them with only sense of guilt and remorse, showing his weakness to them.

@@Alewaxon that’s how he see it, it’s his twisted way. Remember with Stefan? He thought Stefan should have been grateful to him for ruining his life because this way his anger would have been directed on him instead of himself. Anyway the dagger is the lesser punishment, since to them time doesn’t pass at all, like a nap, while he stay alone for decades. When he got the possession of the daggers he payed the worst price, since he spent more than half a century trying to kill himself every single day.

It doesn't change the fact that it's almost all of it utter BS; but he does have a way to articulate his excuses in very interesting ways... a credit to the actor as well of course.

I feel Klaus. It always made me uncomfortable how Rebekah and Elijah forge imo inappropriate or stronger relationships with everyone he starts to care about. Let Klaus have a friend who chooses him over his siblings.

These few episodes are some of my favorite, especially the ending scene with the OG Family. Klaus gets the shortend EVERYTIME. I get it, I really do, but JUST when he's TRYING to do better and maybe even change, one bad things happens that's out of his control and suddenly EVERYONE, even Elijah, thinks the absolute worse THIS TIME. And they're wrong. Dead wrong. Klaus and his love for his child is one of the only instances that its genuine. Pure even. I've been in Klaus shoes and having Family turn on you when you've been nothing but "good"... well it really does turn you into the villain that everyone THINKS you are... I just relate heavily to Klaus and his plight, it's hard NOT to root for him
