Yukon Hardcore locking hubs are a fantastic add on to a D60. When they fail or break, they break in the locked position.

I ditched lockouts on my 08 F450 and went to drive flanges. It becomes annoying dealing with broken lockouts

Thanks for the insight and link. I'll strongly considering this option for my build!

You don’t get driveline vibrations given that the front driveshaft is at a lateral angle relative to the TC?

Newer JL’s have one side front axle disconnect. Ever think about just running one side selectable hub.

The ram dana 60s are the same way. I've heard of guys with rams just running a spool and using the FAD as the locker lol

Still running automatic lockers front and rear? Any comment on trail/ daily driver issues?
@SoFloJeeping2 жыл бұрын
Still running it front and rear. No issues. I do miss the selectable lockers buts that's mostly just so I can throw it around corners on pavement and drive it not like a jeep

Definitely far from rich. Just super blessed to have parents that came to this country with nothing and taught me if I want a cool jeep to work really fricking hard for it

So, they make this thing called a tap die set😉 and just from your own words in this video I came up with this great idea to drill and tap that one piece really shallow that you said you always had a time with and then boom bobs you uncle your answer is as simplexas that and the highway can see my 40's again without my driveshaft crying murder... maintaining the locking hub function every person who does a Ton swap looks forward to and uiur work is done and with minimal effort.

Never, and I mean never put GREASE into the hub locking assembly, NEVER NEVER NEVER 😂😂😅😅😅 You are supposed to only use a light mineral based oil, something like the 3in 1 oil. I've been running warn locking hubs on my currie extreme 60s for yrs and yrs and they are like brand new......no grease. Anyone that tells you to grease that assembly is an idiot and knows nothing about locking hub mechanisms. Good video though
