Soft-Spoken ASMR: The Art of Skyrim - Part 1

---- What's ASMR, and why am I speaking softly? ----
I speak softly in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. Thanks for the kind words, really glad you enjoy my stuff so much! One video a week is comfortable for me right now, but I *might* try 2 per week if I can manage it without going insane. It may not seem like it, but behind every video, there's easily 4x as much time put into prep, recording, editing, review, rendering, and uploading. And even more time goes into replying to comments and maintaining a social media presence. It all adds up surprisingly quickly!

I would love if they did Morrowind too, but that's WAAAAY more work than a simple engine upgrade for Skyrim. Remaking Morrowind would be more like making a completely new game. Plus, it would make the Skywind mod team very, very sad.

You can find it on Amazon nowadays, it is still rather expensive, but honestly, if you admire art or aspire to be in some sort of art field relating to gaming, animation or anything of that sort then it is so worth putting money into. Besides, the more money Bethesda gets, the better the games;)

I love your whisper videos and wish you would do more of them. Soft Spoken videos do not trigger my ASMR response and therefore I no longer listen to them. I would LOVE to hear this video as a WHISPER.

Glad you enjoy my whisper videos! The majority of my videos are whispers, with relatively few soft-spoken ones. But I try to occasionally cater to those who prefer soft-spoken as well. And you needn't worry, I'm not going to stop whispering; I'm just trying to diversify my stuff a little bit :)

Love love LOVE Natural Lighting and Atmospherics ENB. Simply the most realistic lighting, weather, and colours of any ENB, IMO. Not perfect mind you, but very, very good. Check out the description for my latest Wandering in Skyrim vid for my current modlist :)

Can't quick put my finger on it, but it seems like the boom or bass of your mic is louder. I'm in no way complaining since I love your videos, especially on Skyrim and the like, but I don't really like the extra bass on the mic, if it was something you were trying to do differently. Maybe I'm confusing whisper and soft spoken. Either way, I love when you use Skyrim as a subject and any time you use books! Thank you and please keep up the great work! :)

Thanks for your respectful feedback! Most of my videos are whispered, which has very little bass. I use a high-pass filter in whisper videos to remove any booming bass sounds. This video is soft-spoken, and I let a bit more of my voice through, including the lower tones. I don't use the high-pass filter on such soft-spoken videos, because it makes my voice sound unnatural. I do soft-spoken videos like this occasionally because I know some people prefer them, but don't worry, most of my videos will still be whispered :)

However, my problem currently is that I've kinda fallen off the MTG bandwagon, and I'm mostly playing Hearthstone XD. I know this is late but with the acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft, hopefully they would have more resources to make that scale a reality. And the animal motifs are probably the old nordic pantheon. The whale (Stuhn/Stendarr), hawk (Kyne), moth (Dibella), serpent (Orkey), fox (Shor), wolf (Mara), Bear (Tsun - yes the one you fight in sovngarde), owl (Jhunal/ Julianos) and dragon (Alduin).
