Lol try coming to Idaho. Literally almost all roads are that awful gravel rock roads and lined sidewalks. Soft wheels slide, just not so great on surfaces like polished granite. I’ve been skating the 78a Ricta Clouds for the past 10 years and haven’t had an issue making them slide. If they’re stickin, push faster or use more wax.

Why do you take your bearing caps off. Keeping them on will help your bearings last longer and spin longer. And will keep out dust and pebbles.

Bronson raws. I love them. Only needed maintenence once so far. In bowls they don't lose speed like other bearings so more enjoyable, less work.

You seem like the right guy to ask...how much wiggle should a wheel on a skateboard have? As a beginner it seems right to me that I should be able to get an audible knock knock when wiggling side to side but barely feeling any movement. Is this correct or should I get rid of that and gave it so there’s no wiggle but it rolls similar?

im not an expert. but if you watch the OJ wheels video channels, the pro skaters like john gardner, justin sommer and etc, they can do flip tricks with no worries on 78a super juice wheels. so it all boils down to your skating skills

No penny boards have huge wheels similar to a longboard which makes them easier to ride in any surface. Plus the body or the board of a penny board is made differently...its plastic which makes it less durable compared to a skateboard. My recommendation is instead of sticking to a pennyboard eventually buy a cruiser board (its kind of like a longboard and skateboard had a baby). Its more durable and the wheels are nice too. Skateboards are much harder (depending on the wheels) and are usually made for tricks because of how lightweight it is and also because of the ends (which are made for flips).
