To be clear, your base fastball has backspin? Many teach fastball with forward spin. My daughter seems seems to get in bette arm position the way I think you are throwing with "rise spin" as opposed to drop spin.

Ive got a water balloon fight. My form ain't perfect but now its definitely better than me doing some random improv throw.

Why turn your wrist like a doorknob? Sounds more like a drop ball. Or are u trying to get bullet spin?
