This is amazing, I really can't stress enough how much I dig this new project from them. As for the song, the lyrics hit pretty damn hard for me. I used to stay at my grandfathers hunting lodge during summers in Norway and he had a very similar field as we see in this video. When I was dealing with a lot of heartbreak one summer (my long distance gf left me) I started spending most of my time in the field, just lying there and trying to catch my breath during anxious fits. I finally found some peace one day, as I started digging around in the soil and found this brown worm who was tremendously big. I decided to take him as my pet and fed him gum. He could chew on it all day and night. I just named him brown, but he meant so much to me. I grew closer and closer with him until one day, he was simply too big to take care of, let alone take back home. So I left him back in the field and my anxiety unfortunately returned. But I'll never forget my old friend brown, this song makes me think of him and his understanding of my anxiety. I feel like softcult also understands me.

been jamming yalls music for a year now. ive always liked shoegaze and indie music. the one thing i always complained about when i listened to shoegaze is the mix and i know its intentional to have the guitars way up and the vox and drums in the back of the mix and while your mix has that vibe the drums are clear and so are the vocals. its literally the mix ive always wished these bands had. your music is perfect in every way! thank you for getting me through the rough days and helping me stay motivated to make music. you all are amazing!
