I don't know wether you guys named this song Uzumaki as a tribute to Junji Ito's work or not (I'm a huge fan of him), but really glad that there are younger female artists that are still making rock music with authentic set of skills. I'm in my midst 30s, and always listening to Japanese Rock, but before japanese rock I used to listen to artist like Michelle Branch. So far I love this song. Love the MV too! I work the night shift at a small shipping facility, it’s only me and a few other guys. We mostly all keep to ourselves which is fine with me because I just listen to my books or playlists most of the night. Someone might think it’s a lonely place but to me it’s a real vibe when I am listening to a whole softcult album while I’m there. Sometimes I’ll stand outside on my break while rocking out to you guys and just breathe the night air and stare up at the sky. It’s quite a feeling. @@mariorodriguez9201 the original version of this song copped a lot of heat because it sounded way too much like Two Way Mirror by Loathe. The similarities were too obvious to ignore. I actually really liked the original, but yea, its was extremely suspicious. so I guess they decided to rearrange it and give it a fresh spin to make it more original. New version sounds great anyway.

Everything about this song is perfect to me: the guitar tone, rythym, timing, chorus, verses, bridge w the guitar solo, depth behind the lyrics with enough ambiguity to allow for the listener to adapt the song to their own emotion and experience, and too many other things to list in a singular youtube comment. My connection and emotional tie to this song hasn’t changed between my first listen and most recent listen. This is music. This is art, thank you for creating this. You inspire me to create art of my own, hopefully capable of drawing out even 10% of what i felt listening to this from those who will engage with it. The true vicious cycle is me listening to this song on repeat for days and weeks at a time.
