Thanks for the tutorial! Forms are fun. Hey if I can make a request can you slow down a moment when you're making your selections? With muscle memory we get really fast at selecting things. Following along however it's a bit different. With your camera up in one window, MA 3d in another and the console in a third (not to mention all the pop up windows in MA) it can be kinda hard to track where your mouse is and what you're clicking. Serious though, thanks for the tutorial!

Hey Jonas: just wondering why you didn’t just stomp the effects with a macro instead of creating new effects with a release form?

Welcome back Jonas, missed you! How is the app going?
@aGuyNamedJonas5 жыл бұрын
Awww thank you for saying that! I missed making videos too :) I canceled the app because there's already a good workflow there with AfterEffects + I want to rather spend the time to do stuff like my upcoming MA2 LUA Plugins Masterclass 🙌🏻 (signed up yet? 😃)

Could you describe the differences between RELEASE and STOMP in effects?
@djgeorgetsagkadopoulos10 ай бұрын
I don't know if you have figured it out by now, but "STOMP" is a "stop moving" command, while "RELEASE" is "do whatever other running executors tell you" command.

Hi, Jonas! I have a problem, could you please help me? When I switch in effects pool from "Normal" to "Pool playback" with "direct action" on, some effect work well, some of them - not. For instance: dim/tilt flyout is ok, but P/T circle, or Shutter PWM - not. Heads start moving, but no light. It's work only when I select this fixtures and press Full.
@woodenpiggybank75874 жыл бұрын
Your effect dim/tilt has a dimmer attribute. So this cause why your fixtures shine. Your effect pan/tilt doesn’t have the dimmer attribute. There are some ways make your fixtures shining. First method: you can add dimmer attribute to your pan/tilt effect. Second method: You can use your effect with any dimmer effect. Third: you can set your fixtures to full like you’ve done it. Also you can create a sequence with one or more cues if you want and store only dimmer values for your fixtures in this sequence. After that you can assign this sequence to an executor. Now you can control dimmer values by the executor and run any your’s effects via “pool playback” option.

I don't suppose you could do a video on the cheap sacn bridge on eBay and weather you can connect it to ma cuz I realy don't have the money for ma nodes and stuff but I love the software

Hey there! I can relate to your pain :) Check out the dot2 range - you can get a universe for free and it’s still MA software, albeit limited. And I don’t want to get into hacking myself around their licensing model, I just don’t think it’s fair. They give us great software to learn with for free - so once we want to use it in real shows we might as well pay them ya know? :)
@wilfortfromstageright4 жыл бұрын
I know its a late reply but hopefully it helps someone down the road: with onPC if you don’t have MA hardware connected you wont be able to output any SACN/ARTNET even with a node
