I love slam because I just DO (crushings riffs, infectious grooves, gravity blasts & sick guttural brutality) but I LOVE old school death metal (the thrashy kind) & thrash itself, goregrind (like Impaled) too, stuff like that :: & slam is literally the most unknown sub-genre on earth (I haven't met another person who knows it, yet) & BTW: I dun like Cannibal Corpse or most of Morbid Angel, they're not dark or rhythmic enough, they change tempo/signatures way too m

suffocation started slamming in the fucking eighties. internal bleeding, repudilation, dying fetus, malignancy, devourment, and a bunch of other bands were playing slam riffs before slam was even a term. even devourment, a band that's been around for almost 20 years, has zero mainstream credibility. also, i've never ever met a person outside of a show that liked slam - hardly a trend, if you ask me. new fleshgod blows. and the guy doesn't like death/thrash, fucking sue him.
