I thought like that but never acted on it because I know my value. My grandmother literally planted these thoughts in my head as a child. She was a beautiful woman who used her looks to live a rich lifestyle. By my value is not a dollar figure and that’s what this lady thinks her value is. I know her game, how to be charming. She knows what men want. Men find me mysterious, beautiful and stunning and willing to wine and dine me. I could have easily used my looks, my light brown eyes, my naturally long sandy brown waist length hair, my light complexion, my shapely body and no need for a bbl because mine is natural. Men looked at me as arm candy, met a few celebrities and rich men who saw me as arm candy. But that’s not what I wanted. I wanted dignity. I knew I was hurt so I lived like a lady and avoided these men. I instead focused on educating myself and raised 3 highly intelligent children. I decided that I wanted God instead of men. So I never lived that lifestyle that was planted in my head. I let my children see a mother who never went out, kept a clean home, worked full time while in college full-time on the deans list. We did family things. I was a home body and enjoyed my kids while they were young. This is what she should be doing. I wanted to be educated, I have an MBA, I wanted a career which I have. I knew my thoughts would only lead me to a prison in which I can see that she is in. My grandmother even taught me how to be who this girl is because my grandmother lived this girls life. But my grandmother was also hurt and I didn’t want to live like that. I pray that this beautiful young lady, soon leave all this behind and know that her value is not in dollars but is in dignity.
