Soggy mini cooper?? 10 minute sunroof leak fix!

How to quickly repair your leaky cooper... Soooo easy you can do it one handed.. Err kinda.

As everyone else has been saying, thanks so much for posting this - so easy to confirm in our 18 year old mini and it really was a 10 minute fix. I’m no longer worried about the thunderstorms forecast tonight. If it happens again I’ll be ready with the hose clamps.

Great vid but some mini’s center front lights fixture is held on by two torx and will not just slide back. Ask me how I know! Lol

Video was a great help. Rubber tube was filled with debris as was the outflow pipe. I attached a vacuum hose that was duct taped and then a small hole cut into it to insert over the outflow tube running down the pillar. Voila. Poured water in the channel, listened to the wonderful gurgling sound and watched water hit the garage floor. Thank you

Broke my A pillar panel because of you. You CAN NOT just pull it. It snaps every plastic retainer.

Thanks for this video. Super helpful. Recent purchased my mini cooper and the hoses were detached on both sides. Now reattached and draining fine! Why on earth do the hoses come off?? Great vid!

some people use an air hose to blow out the clog and they end up blowing off the rubber tube,

Dude. I got soaked going through the Carwash today, and I googled how to change the sunroof seal and this video came up. No way this is what's wrong with mine! But, I got out the screwdriver, and ...... No shit, there it was exactly like yours. The fix was exactly like yours. Thanks man, for posting this! It was perfect for my Mini, right down to how to pull off the pillar cover. Good job and thanks again!

Do that if it would make you feel more comfortable :) the only way it would set off is maybe if it had broken wires from a mouse or something.

I have a mini cooper s r53 it is leaking through the main mirror when it rains :( I dont think its the drains it could be the panoramic sunroof seal as it's a bit dry. I also thought it could be the windscreen seal and cant see any videos how to help identify the cause.. do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi Drew thanks, this is so helpful. I just spent €700 on my mini cooper R53 2005 for BMW telling me that they have fixed my leaking roof and charged me for a new front mirror/antenna/receiver and 6 hours of work as my electronic locking was not working so all was fixed. But NO as we then had 2 days of heavy rain so I hadn't been able to drive and now I get into my car to find the water is coming into my footwell on both left driver side and it also went into the back of the seat/back footwell and also on the right passenger footwell. It had not come into the car again by the front mirror yet but I felt that the roof headwell was slightly damp.
