i know most sgap videos haven't been commented on in awhile, but while everyone thinks there's some big grand meaning to him deleting his videos, i believe it's because he has ocd and is so perfectionistic that nothing was ever good enough, hence why he talked about making stuff people would "actually like" and then ultimately deleting everything. a friend of mine has ocd and ends up deleting every social media account they make, which i was reminded of heavily when getting into sgap only recently, and i also have ocd and while i don't do this exact same thing i end up deleting posts off my twitter and tumblrs because they "don't look right" or make things "too cluttered" and i am too perfectionistic to even start doing most things, like making youtube videos. it also probably does have something to do with sgap's love of philosophy; i definitely do think these two things are intertwined, especially his big interest in the concept of nothing. but i think a lot of people miss the more mundane reasons for things, and i definitely think my theory is correct.

I still listen to SGaP's music on a fairly regular basis- even this long past his unfortunate departure. I can safely say that I probably always will too, for as long as I live. No other artist makes me feel the way I feel when I listen to SGaP. Something about these songs changed the way I look at music, and even life in general. It's had such a profound effect on me that it's become a part of my life now in a way. That said, every time I listen to his music, I can't help but wonder how he's doing -- how he's feeling right now. I like to think he's still out there somewhere, and hasn't forgotten about his devoted fans that love him unconditionally (I know I can't be the only one). Even if he no longer wants to make music, even if he's given up his previous pony-ways, that's okay. I'd just like to know that he's alright.

Every few months I get the need to listen to SGAP again. I actually joined the fandom right around the time they were putting this out, and I loved SGAP's music for being so different from just about anything I've ever heard before. Nowadays, it elicits a completely different emotion in me, as I more or less witnessed their channel privatized and then deleted -- I still have a dead link to their former channel in my RSS reader. All of this is to say, thank you, for preserving something which I and I'm sure many others consider beautiful works of art.

I feel like here may be something profound about SoGreatandPowerful's decision to delete any trace of his art from the internet. Listening to this music now that it has been reuploaded on an archive channel feels different, I imagine, than it would feel if it was still up on SGaP's own channel. It is like marveling at a glassy spiderweb glistening in the dawn sunlight. Witnessing something very beautiful and very fragile, I am made painfully aware of the notion that nothing lasts forever - that most things, as a matter of fact, disappear far too quickly. Perhaps then, deleting himself from the internet was the final stroke in a magnificent and mysterious painting about impermanence.

A lot of creatives can relate to that feeling; as time passes, we like our old work less and less, becoming convinced that it isn't good enough, and eventually believing that it should no longer exist. This is probably why SGAP deleted their old music. They're not doing it to be a dick.

When most artists say a long term thing it normally lasts 4-6 moths sometimes 7 but when an artist hits 8 moths it normally means they are not coming back and forgot to give the viewers a notice well hope to see the future if this all changes and SoGreatandPowerfulArchives makes a comeback.

I think I might have figured it out, though I could also be completely wrong, as I've only begun being a fan since 2023 and as such was not around during any of SGaP's active years, and thus am not an SGaP scholar or history buff, i.e. this is purely conjecture. I believe the artist is none other than SGaP himself. If you've seen any of the other artworks he's made, either for his own use such as in space pony, or the artworks he's made for other pony musicians in his circle (such as facexplode [i.e. for the song doe eyes], andtherainfall, or kreuhn pony), you can see several common features in the ways in which he draws ponies, probably most notable of which being the tapering thin hooves. Notably, he seems to use two distinct styles, with the ones in which he uses a flatter or untextured brush being the more common variety of his (publicly archived) works, as can be seen in the pieces of art he made for ATR and KP (take a peep at his derpibooru artist tag, though note that three pieces are not actually his work, those being the rainbow mother earth image, which is devi's art, and the art for 40 winks, which isn't his either) as well as his art for space pony. His textured brush works seem to mostly be either unfinished pieces, and more notably, the art that appears on the reuploaded FE song, Doe Eyes, brush strokes which appear similar to the ones that appear in the RD/RA artwork. From this, as well as the fact that there appears to be no attribution to the art, which SGaP usually does if the art isn't his, (as well as, in classic SGaP fashion, a lack of a raw source), I think it can be at least somewhat reasonably concluded that the art is probably his own. edit: another notable thing about his style is the way he draws the eyes of the ponies, he seems to rather heavily "emphasize" them (if that makes any sense), which is something you can see here.
