This was from an evening of traditional Korean music. She is Korea's leading gospel/CCM singer and has performed with Kirk Franklin. "Everyone" is more powerful with much wider vocal range part in Korean part in English . She has covered many Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey songs in her career with her own arrangements. Her version of I Have Nothing she has been singing since 2018 is amazing as is her new version of I Will Always Love You broadcast on Korean TV this weekend. She doesn't whistle - when she sang Mariah's Emotions she used head voice up to A6! She did sing a Disney princess for Korean version of Moana. Thank you for a thoughtful reaction and analysis.

Check out her Lean On Me and You Raise Me Up. Very different songs from Arirang. Her English is excellent so you can see how well she sells the story. As you say, she is skilled, but I believe her charisma may be her strongest characteristic.
