Sohyang is amazing! She never disappoints. You should check out some more talents from South Korea like the crossover vocal quartet Forestella. Their cover of "Scarborough Fair" would be a good start.

@@nathanlongwell I scrolled through your library and found that two top singers are conspicuously missing. The first is Morissette from the Philippines. She has been singing and tearing everybody's brains out since she was 16. She turned 26 this June 2nd. Like So Hyang, Morissette is Asia's best kept secret. I am going to give you the link to an original song 'Akin Ka Na Lang' CC is available and sound be on to follow. The second singer that you should hear is now a 15 year old girl from Kazakhstan. Her name is Daneliya Tuleshova. She was "discovered" by her music teacher after having switched schools because her parents heard a change in her voice that made them think Daneliya should have a chance to explore her voice to see where it would go. The funny part of this story is that the teacher in talking with her parents told them that a personal vocal coach was a waste of time and money. Two weeks past and that teacher was walking past a practice room where several students were practicing their parts in the songs they were singing. As she past the room she heard something that made stop so quickly she almost slipped. She quietly went and opened the door to see which of her students possessed the voice she was hearing. She scanned the faces to see which had their mouth open. Of course, as with the start of most legends, the smallest and skinniest little girl was producing the huge sound she was hearing. Not only that, but it was the same little girl whom she had told her parents not to bother with a vocal coach. Well the teacher went immediately and filled out an application for the national singing competition that was open to the best singers from all around Kazakhstan. She did this not even consulting with the parents. When she got the confirmation she immediately contacted the parents. When they met the teacher said she didn't understand what she was getting with Daneliya. They decided that they wouldn't create unreasonable expectations, that they would just go and have fun and see where they stood. Well of course Daneliya went sang and won the whole show. She was one of the very few children there that had basically had no formal instruction. One of the judges as they were trying to decide how to score her said, "how are the other children supposed to compete with her when she sings as an adult? She has been kissed on the forehead by God!! Daneliya was a little over 8 years old. From there she won the right to represent her country in the competition Euro Asian Jr. singing competition where she finished 3rd overall, but also won the 'Audience Favorite Performer' award. This would be a common occurrence for Daneliya. Then she entered and won The Voice Kids Ukraine and became the first non-Ukrainian and the youngest to win the show at 10-11. Her blind audition went viral where she sang Demi Lavato's 'Stone Cold' it has been viewed over 78 million times. It took all of 18 seconds from the start of the music for all the chairs to turn, which her eventual coach, Dima Monathik was first as he said yes sir I knew it at once. As impressive as her opening song was it was her sing an encore when asked her "other" song she had prepared that may have won the show that first night. She sang a very popular Ukrainian song 'Tri May'. But what made it more special is that she sang it in flawless Ukrainian. She went on to close out the finals of the contest with an anti-war song 'Na Tvoya Viina' or 'Not Your War' also in Ukrainian. There was not a dry eye in the house including all the coaches especially Dima who had tears from both eyes trailing down his face. I am giving you two links right now. Her first will be her blind audition to The Voice. Now, while the first half was singled out to go viral the rest of the audition, which was 10:30 long, was equally important because of what the judges had to say. The second video link I'll leave is her cover of Birdy's 'Not About Angels' which was her first cover after her run to the finals on AGT 2020. I know this was long especially for me if you don't read it but both these singers Morissette and Daneliya deserve the effort. If you give them a chance they will impress.
