The grey ones were the original, all Standard class seating ones. The whiter ones had 1st class and were for the Brighton services......

What were those trains with the class 47 all about? They were obviously passenger carriages but they don't look like the passenger trains of that line at that time.

They were parcel trains carrying Royal Mail traffic but no passengers!

What speed are they doing in the first clip?

In the first clips the HST would probably be doing 115mph which is the speed limit on the fast line here, the 317 EMU 100mph which is the maximum speed of the train. The 313 is clearly slowing down to stop at Brookmans Park.
