I was wondering where you got that cool coat before you said you made it. Very neat quilt coat. My mom was an avid quilter and that is a lovely coat.

Wonder if you could start seeds in smaller balls (golf ball size) and forming more soil around it to enlarge the ball when they're ready to pot up.

That actually sounds like a great idea!

I think you'd have to be selective about the ball size matching the plant growth style. I've noticed here in Australia that the native plants grow long roots really fast. Out bush, they only get a short opportunity to sprout and begin growing, so they need to get a long, strong root system happening right from go.

Please could I see how you water them ? don't they just fall apart ?? (sorry if this is a silly question.)

I overhead water them like everything else! I’ve never had a problem with them falling apart like you would think. Nothing fragile lasts here very long! Lol

Thank you very much for letting me know. I have done my own version of this, and will hope to see it working. They were all still alive today. Although my balls were just 1 part soil and 1part well rotted horse manure and bark
